This movie is horrible. However, there is potential of it actually being good. The basic plot is interesting, but it's really messy and could use some cleaning up. As well, the acting is horrible, but I'm not sure I'd blame it on the actors. I think it's the script that throws them off. There's also quite a few flashback scenes which are almost impossible to sit through, a kid could make them look better! I think the director was trying to make it dramatic and artistic, but it comes out as hard to follow and just plain brutal. It's too bad, with some help, this movie could really be pretty decent. But in the state it's in, it only gets 2 stars (out of five)...even then I'm probably being too generous.

If you're going to watch this movie, make sure your awake and capable of paying attention. There are several twists and turns, and once you think you've got the whole movie figured out, a whole new fact gets uncovered and changes everything. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed this film. I would definitely recommend it, it's just definitely a movie you're going to end up thinking hard about. John Travolta really made the movie too. His character was funny and exciting. All in all, I'd give this movie a 3.7 out of 5.

This was by far, the best movie I've seen all summer. The storyline is well thought out and very entertaining. However, what makes this movie so amazing, is Johnny Depp. He absolutely stole the show. The way he spoke, the way he moved, and all of his funny comments just made the film that much more enjoyable. I recommend this movie to everyone- except children. I would expect that young children (or anyone below the age of 13) would end up having nightmares for a few nights. But for anyone over the age of 13, you can handle it. I would never call this movie a horror, it's just that it does have some creepy scenes. 9.5 out of 10, it really is that good.
