It takes a special kind of movie to make me consider actually getting up and walking out on it. And I don't mean special in a good way.

Now don't get me wrong, I am a very cheap person at heart (why deny it) and to me the money I spent getting in is usually a good enough reason to sit through a movie even if I hate it. Let me tell you, this movie tested that resolve...

Let me say now and for the record, I do not hate Halle Berry. In fact I think she is an incredibly hot woman and I wouldn't kick her out of my bed if she decided to have a sleep over at my place. As an actress I do not have a problem with her, but I do have a problem with her choice of roles... maybe she needs a new agent (Halle I am available!)

What everyone needs to realize is that Halle is not responsible for this movie sucking. It's the writers who need to be shot here (maybe director too /shrug). There is nothing to this movie... the entire thing feels to me like a very flashy commercial for some kind of Dominatrix shop in Hollywood. The plot holes are too numerous to even list here, and bringing them up might put me to sleep.

Halle, even your beauty cannot save this film. It's a shame no one has learned from movies like Barbwire... just because you have a scantily clad sex goddess in the movie does not mean you can pay somebody $5 to write a script and expect people to actually enjoy your movie.

To the writers/director/producers of this horrible movie: You should be ashamed of yourselves, please stop making movies and seek alternate forms of employment. Oh and screw you for making me waste my hard earned cash.

P.S: Halle I meant what I said, I can surely do better as your agent then whoever is getting you into these terrible films... call me =)

I love all of the comments about how unrealistic this movie is...guys relax its a movie.

Apparently the movie industry should be putting big warnings up on the screen saying:

WARNING: The following movie may contain scenes that are not 100% realistic. If this offends you please stop watching the movie and order the documentary channel.

Think about what you are saying when you complain that this movie is not realistic... do you bitch and whine because the Matrix isn't real? Sit down, shut up and enjoy the movie for what it is... fiction.

Reading through the comments I see alot of people saying stuff like "I wanted to see a ship sink, so shallow characters did not matter." Come on people, sitting through 2 hours of poor dialog just to see 10 minutes of nice special effects is no excuse for giving this movie anything more then a rating of 2 or 3 (4 if you are generous). A movie should be judged on the sum of all of its components. While the special effects in this movie would warrant an 8 or 9, the characters sucked, the plot was quite lame, and the movie was slow up until the boat sank. I regret wasting 2 hours of my life on this movie, and wish that I could have walked in on the last 10 minutes, rather then sat through it. The things men do for our girlfriends...
