Kevin Bacon did it again in this movie by showing his superb talent and versatility playing the role of Nick Hume a professional business man who turns vigilante after his sons murder. Bacon shows once more how he can completely take on the role and match it to a perfect T. The action and storyline in this movie is exquisite and very rarely does a movie like this comes along. Kevin Bacon is in my opinion one of the finest actors in the business he can go from playing a mentally retarded man (Digging to China) to the perfect bad guy (Joe Hickey in trapped) from kind of the Nutty Val from tremors to now Nick Hume. This man is a living legend and I rank him higher than Nickolson and Shwartzanegger and they are 2 of my favorites but nobody can change characters as well as Bacon and Dustin Hoffman.

I hardly ever check out a movie where I don't finish it if for nothing more than curiosity but this movie I stopped right before the end or so I guess because all the main characters were dead and the undead were taking over and I have to say this is the worst filmed most horribly directed gross special fx and had some of the worst actors and actresses that I have ever seen and I do love zombie movies but this thing reeked. I have almost 1,500 movies in my collection and am not hard to please the plot can lack a little the acting can lack a little even the special fx can lack but when you put all them together with zero taste you get a film like this (for crying out loud the guy had the runs and was squirting worms out of his butt against a wall while he was barfing up more worms than he laid down and ate them) if that ain't sick what is and thats basically how the movie flows with a lot of gross unrealistic fx even movies back in the forties had better fx.

Kane Hodder is scary as crap in this movie it has a lot of jumps and a lot of blood and has a very descent plot, best scary movie I have seen in a long time. Story is great very isolated very dark and the victims have no way of getting help no way out but to get rid of the bad guy and the special FX are amazing a lot of blood a lot of gore and some pretty good acting on the part of the cast I'd say this movie will go down as a gore fan favorite right there with Friday the 13s and the Halloweens. Kane Hodder is at his best in this movie character is huge and definitely scary with or without the hatchet it's great. It's going to be a classic you can bet your butt.
