The story, and even language of persuasion but done in the awkward, low quality, forced acting style of Napoleon Dynamite. Almost like a 2000's high school AV club senior project. Still better than Persuasion 2022 with Dakota Johnson.
I appreciate that they kept the names, they kept the basic story, they even kept some of the language used in the book.
The deadpan delivery and acting makes it almost laughable, but I feel like it had to be intentional.
They set it in modern times and adapted some of the story to be modern. The modern Middle-American cadence does not lend itself to the language of regency England. Again, I feel like it's so badly delivered, as if an American middle-schooler is being forced to recite classic literature, it must be intentional.
At 33min the audio goes wonky and repeats the dialogue for 20 seconds.

Most of the casting is good, though Lindsay Duncan is much too old for the role. However, she's a good actress.
Diana's interactions with Knox are very friendly at first, despite it being contentious from the beginning in the book. The same with Gillian.
The pacing of the story is very strange and disconnected. They force too many things to happen instead of spending the time developing them, which they had plenty of time to do.
Juliet being introduced so early was an interesting choice, but I think it was a good one.
They don't make the relationships between the character very clear, which adds to the disjointed feeling of the storyline.
