This series is trying hard to be something but amounts to nothing, actually annoying..
It's a soap opera worse than a Brazilian love drama because it portrays seriousness but lacks dignity, intelligence and common sense. It's hypocritical.
Father dies, while she is with a man brother breaks the news, she asks him he didn't interrupt her sexual encounter for that! Next thing you know, she is leading her father's company. The man who tried to have a conversation with her over 30 years at no availability. This is not even the most annoying part, besides all the soap drama, they constantly throw in race typical BS rhetoric..
Bunch of wealthy privileged people, family cut throat over the company affairs, all sisters, brothers, step brothers, step sisters, all black, the gossips, infidelity, and the greed among each yet they, in hypocrisy, bring in race rhetorics. Can't even have decency to your family, corrupts blues, who really cares about your race at that point? They are ready to destroy each other, but you see glimpse of her past where her mother tells her if she lets white people, they will run you over...excuse me, your family is running over each other and it's dirtier every episode. It's primitive. Who really nowadays assume that a black woman with LV bag in a store is the store employee responsible with stacking up goods?
