The show was supposed to be brilliant but when you compare it to the others in the franchise it's incredible poor. The laugh track makes the dialogue hard to hear, the storylines rely far to heavily on classic troupes which results in the stories being lost.
Overall this show really lacks what made the big bang theory and young Sheldon work which is that it didn't rely upon the 1980's version of TV which had far too many ineuendos and far too much lack of substance.
They had the chance to continue the show in a good way but failed spectacularly. There is no story or independent thought within the writing of the show. It is just a copy and paste of many of the other sitcoms out there with jo originality in it.
