This film is a remarkable achievement that powerfully depicts the suffering of the Chinese people in Henan province, caught in the crossfire between warring factions, stripped of their homes and basic necessities. Unfortunately, neither Japanese nor Chinese authorities seemed to care about the fate of the civilians ensnared in this brutal conflict.
While the acting may lean towards the theatrical at times, this does not detract from the film's impact. The storyline is both clear and engaging, and all performances are outstanding, showcasing a production of exceptionally high quality. The film makes a significant contribution to recounting the experiences and plight of non-combatant victims during World War II.
Rather than criticizing this film, we should celebrate it! In an age where politicians around the globe are flirting with danger and recklessly risking conflict, this movie serves as a poignant reminder of the devastating consequences of war.

To put it straight first: this movie deals with a serious episode of the Second World War that is worth knowing about. However the quality of the movie is cringeworthy. Mostly bad actors and supposedly bad directing. Some scenes are so long that actors struggle to convey a clear emotion, uniforms are not correct, in particular the German uniforms where a Falschirmjäger regiment wears standard Webrmacht helmets etc. In the middle of a the night the town streets are brightly illuminated, possibly to indicate the Canadian artillery a clear target. All the behaviours displayed are more 21. Century than 1944, with rude corporals and sergeants addressing officers like buddies etc.
In short, this movie is like so many recently made WWII movies: low budget, dull acting, historical inaccuracies all over the place. What a shame.

Very slow moving painful disaster of a movie. The pornstars are about the best actors in this flick! Seriously. Bree Olson acts really well and so does Asa Akira. Other roles are so much overplayed that you can litterally see the effort of acting. Cringy characters and freaks ruin any chance of the movie to be somewhat realistic. But as a comedy, the movie totally lacks of comic highlights. And then there is this douchbag with a camera trying to document developments, sort of movie within a movie, a totally futile exercise ending up cuting the flow of the story.... but then, what story? Whoever thinks that the movie oozes sexual energy: be disappointed. The movie is a waste of time.
