Damsel by no means a smash hit but far from something to throw in the trash heap. In general this film is a straight forward enjoyable watch from visual delights down to solid acting performances, In saying that there is definitely a few grips to be had but that should not spoil throwing this one in the mix on a movie night with friends or family to enjoy.
Unfortunately there is not alot of character progression, but i have to ask? Does it really need it? Im on the fence for this but I don't think it would have hurt putting more effort into this area.
For those that are worried this is just another girl boss movie have no fear, if I had to be honest it doesn't come off this way in the slightest. While the protagonist isn't learning big life lessons to push the story forward she hasn't been given the powers that be on the spot either.

I had really been looking forward to seeing this special, but unfortunately like most of Andrews other material this one doesn't really hit the nail on the head.
Lots of cheap lude jokes, they weren't all that bad but they definitely didn't have me in stitches. If I had to give a honest review from my point of view I would have to say the format seemed alot different, definitely not for the better. The amount of times the show almost became background noise due to not being overly entertaining whilst I watched was disappointing. Its fair to say it can be easy to lose interest during this one.

So the dialogue between characters is pretty lame and cheesy and theres alot of eyeroller moments wilth most of the actors but this little film is still a good family friendly watch.
I cannot praise Jim Carrys role as Dr Robotnik enough. Its good old fasion Jim comedy with a new little spin on it which absolutely hits the nail on the head.
Unfortunately I don't know enough about the lore to comment on its transfer into a film but id like to think they did do a pretty good job over all.
If your looking for a film to watch with your kids this is one you should definitely throw in the mix on movie night.
