This series has everything: mystery, humor, beautiful scenery, great character chemistry, and is a joy to watch.

Father Brown is a kind, tolerant, funny thorn in the side of the chief inspector, who appreciates his help without truly admitting it.

Mark Williams is perfect as Father Brown. Coming from a background in comedy highlights how skilled he is in a more serious role.

Lady Felicia Montague is my favorite character, played by Nancy Carroll. She's a brilliant, classy, feisty and funny sidekick in several seasons.

One of the best aspects of this series is that it masterfully transports viewers to the 1950's with impeccable attention to detail. From the meticulously recreated costumes, vintage cars, and authentic set designs to the dialogue and social norms of the time, every element contributes to putting viewers back to early 1950's England.

If you're looking for a comfort show, give Father Brown a try.

I went into this open minded, but within the first 5 minutes it was evident the whole series was going to be incredibly one sided. It should have been called "Poor Oscar." This is one more series that glorifies murderers, instead of representing both sides.

Oscar Pistorius is not the victim, despite that narrative being pushed through this series. He murdered Reeva. SHE is the victim.

There is no question Oscar overcame nearly insurmountable odds and fought hard to become a successful athlete.

There's also no question that he murdered his girlfriend while she was in the bathroom, shooting her 4 times.

A main theme was how upset he was after he killed her. If he was sincerely upset, why didn't he take responsibility for what he did? Why did he make Reeva's family sit through a devastating trial?

If he truly thought someone was in the house, why did he go straight to the bathroom and shoot instead of checking to see if Reeva was in there? He knew she wasn't in bed. There was history of domestic violence, and he also knew she had been in touch with her ex boyfriend two days before he killed here.

If you're looking for an excellent mystery binge watch, I highly recommend this series. The mystery starts right away and builds to the end.

Morven Christie is always likeable, even more so in this role. Her life is flipped upside down and she's left trying to make sense of the who and why. She is thrown into a world she knew nothing about and used her resilience and determination to power through.

Peter Mullan is fantastic as a powerful, dangerous man. I'm used to seeing Julie Graham play strong yet sensitive characters and she does a great job as a crime lord's wife.

I'd never seen Prassana Puwanarajah before and was captivated by how well he portrayed a DC who was a mix of empathetic and intense. I'll be watching for him in other roles!
