Show used to be a 10/10 for me but season 4 made me change it. I'm so upset they changed the voice actor for korvo. I didn't realize how important his character was till they changed the voice actor. The show is NOT the same. They would have been better off making a new character or something. Like why not find someone who sounds similar at least. The British accent completely takes away from the show. Like every time he's on screen I cringe when he talks. I REALLY don't understand the reasoning behind choosing the British accent. It completely changes the vibe of his character. He doesn't sound as serious and deadpan anymore. Maybe to a British person there isn't as much of a difference?? Idk. I just feel like the voice they chose for him makes him have a completely different personality. Like literally every aspect of this show is tainted with the fact they changed the voice. I can't even enjoy the wall side story. Ugh I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in a new season for a show.

BUT seasons 1-3 are totally worth watching, don't let my review turn you away completely from this show. Those seasons are a solid 10/10 for sure. I love those seasons!

Sociopolitically wise this movie doesn't 100% stand the test of time. BUT Sifi wise this movie is literally one of the best sifi movies of the 2000's and maybe even ever. It offers such a unique perspective of what an alien would experience on earth. Totally different from the normal alien sifi where the audience is rooting for the humans and the aliens are the evil bad guys with no emotion or empathy. I honestly loved the interactions between Christopher and his child. It looks so raw and real, like even though SGI was used to create these characters, the audience still connects and emphasizes with them.
