I want to start by saying that I love Spiderman.I love the comics, the cartoons, and the first two films. But this one is just not working out.I have found three major faults, and a lot of smaller ones that I won't be mentioning, while watching.
1)Two words.Tobey McGuire. He's bad.Dear,he's bad.I don't know who ever decided to make him an actor and thought it was a good idea.He does the exact same act for every part he plays. In the first two films,it didn't bug me that much, but now it's a lot more obvious.A lot of actors out there would deserve to play Spiderman.
A note:While mentioning actors,a small part for our lovely Mary Jane Watson... Ah,Kirsten Dunst...or shall I maybe say,Claudia? What a wonderful development of a career, isn't it...Starting off staring with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt,I mean, come on,I repeat,Tom Cruise AND Brad Pitt, carrying on with The Virgin Suicides...Now she's only an inch apart from being a teeny-weeny American sweetheart, like so many are.The only thing that prevents this is that she's good. She really has material.
Anyway,back to the subject.
2)The way they tried to squeeze in too many sagas and characters in one film, which makes me think that it's probably Spiderman films no more. It's a two hours movie, why trying to put everything in it at the same time?Work on one and develop it.
3)Why does Peter always takes off his mask while fighting? And how do the NYPD can't find out who he is?Come on,they can identify Mary Jane from hundreds of feet above,Peter was there all the time, fighting, for some reason, with his mask OFF,how can they not figure out it's him? It's sillier than the way no one recognises Sailor Moon as Usagi.
OK,so I'm taking three starts away.For the minor things,another one.It's 6/10. Better next time.

Another reason not to trust FOX,ever. The script of the original Buffy movie is said to be a masterpiece, while the shot movie is horrible-that speaks for itself I think.Poor Joss Whedon to be have to go through this, but he managed to save his brainwave, didn't he;) I don't get the obsession of Hollywood about those "happy-endings".I, for myself, would take a movie with a dark ending,or at least a bittersweet one, over a bubble-gum pink,unrealistic,guy-gets-the-girl ending any day!But they always seem to shoot silly endings.Read the Buffy comic "The Origin".It tells the story of the movie,of course, without all of the disgusting changes of the script, the gym does burn down,Joyce is not that kind of a mother,Buffy shows far more character development, the Slayers do not have any hairy spots and Merrick does not get born over and over again, the Watchers are normal human and I can't believe the unrealistic, horrible acting of Donald Sutherland, who, normally,a great actor.(And FYI-Merrick shot himself not to reveal the identity of Buffy, dies nobly, not like in this silly movie.) Another thing-vampires usually don't act that way.Becoming one does not make you stupid, you know *rolls eyes* I advice you to watch the movie though, just to see Whedon's genius on how he managed to survive and create Buffy the Vampire Slayer(the real one,of course)Probably the nicest thing in the movie is the portrayal of Buffy's friends. I watched five Buffy episodes last night, after watching the movie. They enabled me to sleep soundly, the real Buffy.
Actually I was surprised that I was the first to comment on this movie.Almost every single Turkish person must have seen this a dozen times, but you always watch it,you just can't help it.It's kinda like "Atla Gel Saban".There were some major Turkish comedy classics in their time and this movie has a massive cast that you can't dream to get together. Some of our main characters go to a restaurant in which the singer Emel Sayin sings. They get beaten and thrown out after a long chain of misunderstandings and decide to get revenge...by kidnapping Emel Sayin! The rest is a great comedy about love, friendship and a little dose of Stockholm syndrome:)
I've just watched CB and I can honestly say it's enchanted.OK,the plot and the characters are pretty clichéd(in basic means of course,it's not that you see a corpse bride living underground with skeletons and interesting insects everyday!),but the power of this sadly-short picture is not it's great scenario or exciting storyline. It's proved over and over again that you don't always need a genius plot to give an artistic performance(Johnny Depp of all people knows it best I think.Exhibit A:Pirates of the Caribbean.)And if we don't call CB artistic,I don't know which animation deserves this title. It's so sweet with little,well-placed details,I'm still smiling. It's not one of my immortal movies,I admit(that's why it receives 7,not full marks from me)but I'll always remember it with a smile. I liked it although I sadly watched it dubbed in Turkish(I always prefer original and I'm really curious about the characters singing voices)and the sound was so low because of a problem in my PC. I still liked it.I advice you to watch it.Yeas,it may not be reaching your Top 10,but you'll dream about it,I bet;)
This picture is my ultimate love.I wish there'd be a vote of 1000 so I could give it to LK. I *tried* to see it in the cinema when it first came out-I was four-and I was scared to death by the darkness of the stairs that lead to the theater. My attempt to watch it failed... Then I grew older, and I watch it so many times I can't remember. No movie,be an animation or not, never placed it's space in my heart.I can't begin to describe the emotions that fill my heart when I hear the words "Lion King".I've never bothered to watch 2&3,because I don't want its magic to disappear. Dear Simba,Nala,Scar, probably one of the best bad men in the history, the noble King Mufasa, the Circle of Life, greatest soundtrack ever...What can I say...A breathtaking journey into the worlds of love, nobility, fantasy and faith...
