So film makes huge $$ bc viewers went bc of LOTS over hype & ads of new reboot. Paying Viewer result- disappointment.

Entire reason Cavill was NOT re cast as Superman was bc Gun wanted to reboot the character. So where's the reboot in this film?

Film does not go into any background to Krypton nor Clark as kid.

With no background, there's No reason for "younger" actor as Superman when Cavill & entire stellar cast of prior "Man of Steel" gave superior performances & lots of creativity in sci-fi Krypton. "Smallvill TV"viewers lament their initial reaction to Cavill. Why compare TV show to big budget film anyway?

Bring back Cavill & stellar supporting cast who made perfect Superman film since Reeves. Reeves was very good in 1980s but times have changed.

This film is NOT what was promised by Gun & studio, supposedly delivering new side of the Superman tale. Action itself does not make a good film. Need good plot, casting, script & direction. Adding characters NOT in original source material is distracting fluff, ie super pet. Best superhero films were all grounded in source material- the COMIC books written generations ago with all ppl involved including cast honoring source material. Just being a great fan with knowledge of comics still doesn't make an actor or director good choice. Actor must still possess realistic portrayal of the comic book character,& director/ producers the ability to create that vision into entertaining memorable film.

This is Skip it film where many wanted refund of costly ticket. Wait until it streams.

Most VIP docu by Sir David. If you're breathing, this is DEF must see film. Public must view this gentle Disneyfied truth of our fishing industry & huge waste of sea life. The real truth is FAR WORSE & brutal, multi billions sea lives wasted daily for few target fish/ scallops. This Film is for ALL ages bc young must see their future WE CHOOSE NOW. No politics, just facts that's been intentionally out of sight far too long & not well known, true events occur in all floating fish factories.

How can one help? Eat vegan 2x week, that'll ease off pressure from ALL WILDLIFE & wildspaces. THAT'S IT. Bonus: Buy food grown in "repurposed farmland." Tell friends & family globally.

Here, Sir David with Nat Geo shows 1st the enchanting new sea discoveries, wondrous sea lives that protects humanity by producing oxygen and defends against climate change. Then after all magical beauty- the hard truth of adverse effects of modern industrialized global fishing. Incredibly, this destructive fishing gets 26 Billion $$ of govt subsidies from few wealthy countries including USA. Trawling has been increasing since 1980s.

Satellite pics prove every coast & sea is packed with huge nonstop fishing factories. Seeing the massive scale of mankind's thoughtless plunder is unforgettable. See widespread "trawling technique" turn wondrous sea floor into instant dead grey moonscape. Damage so severe, the trawl paths are seen from space.

3 BILLION coastal/ island PPL of all colors are victims of this horrid trawling method, with no other means to feed themselves , ending all local fisheries & their livelihoods too. Next. The trawler massive "by catch" of all sealife occurring on every ship repeatedly daily is briefly shown. "By catch" scene where all is dumped as trash into seas is Disneyfied & edited. Brutal truth is massive billions of sea lives are semi butchered then dumped back. Film then shows how 1 million sharks are targeted by miles of lines. Again a mild edited shot bc reality is sharks, incl whale sharks & Manta Rey's get all fins/ gills sliced off their wriggling bodies before being dumped back to die horrid death in sea.

Then film shows huge sea factories recent target in critical South Sea ice caps- krill. Krill, most critical food in the polar ecosystem for migrating whales, penguins, & polar fish that feed all seabirds, seals, bears, wolves etc. Seeing our massive krill take by 1 ship is unforgettable. Why krill?? With no abundant fish, Ppl use krill for non-essential ingredients & PET food. What is left for the starving wildlife? Migratory Whales starved 6-8 months swimming to ice polls like the penguins & last nesting sea birds.

Humans have now depleted ALL fish stocks in entire planet. This film focuses only on FISHING, not sea oil drilling, huge trade ships killing whales by strikes, , military pings, atomic testing, our endless noise, pollution & trash.

Now the change. LAST HALF of Film focuses on HOPE. SEAS RECOVER by leaving an area alone in 5 short years. Incredulous trawling is LEGAL in these few protected areas!! WTH??! FILM SHOWs PROOFS OF REAL RECOVERY, even in most devastated seas. In tiny few protected sea areas, abundant sea life returns, reviving local fisheries far away. Even Endangered wildlife recovers. When a larger area is protected & recovery increases 10x, maximizing benefits to ALL PPL. Again film shows proof, not hypotheses.

The Key to our future is "protect 30%" of all seas in select areas, not 3% & stop all trawling in protected areas. Ocean covers 2/3 of this planet. It's doable.

In 2025, UN supposedly agreed on paper to protect 30% by 2030 - but paper is meaningless & USA is not part of UN in 2025.

Now this data & film been released en mass, it's up to each person to pressure one's government representative to sign this agreement & honor it for our future . It CAN be done. I've sent quick message to my reps. Again, spread news to friends& family globally.

Science has proven No healthy ocean = no healthy land for PPLE- no exceptions.

It's always been OUR choice & our future . Def must watch film.

S1 Review : 7 for eps 1-3; 4 for rest S1.

Eps 1 &2 are best of series, unique premise with humor. Most cast well chosen & give solid performances. Cast chemistry present esp among Mark, Petey, Helle , & Arquette.

Mark given most character depth from start. Yet not for rest of cast & viewer wonders why they chose Lumen life. Don't dwell on glaring plot holes / issues, esp Lumen's need for regulating all human emotions in minutiae. S2 ep 1 quickly gives & presents the answers in blandest format - "Sesame Street " is more entertaining.

S2- Review: 1 star bc plain BORING talkie time killing 0 event, no plot season that should've been 1 hr movie @ most, not series. With LOW expectations, viewed 1st & last ep of S2. Missed 0 bc eps are repetitive. Read synapsis before wasting ur time. Poor insipid script, sets, lighting, acting. S2 renders S1 obsolete. Cast gives high school reading lines performances. Helle knows she differs from group, yet selfishly breaks S1 pact, again rendering S1 void. Nonsensical that Helle returns to Lumen & no one knows her true ID. Lazy silly writing. S2 Ending is filled with time fillers explaining zilch. Arquette's strong yet changed for worst character only appears @ end. Mark's final act @ very end is ridiculous, too, bc he vacates his OWN S1 & S2 .

Unless U have time to kill & are multitasking, def SKIP S2 or view only 1st & last ep of S2 - you'll still be bored & likely fall asleep. Overall 2 stars.
