Being a documentray buff, I thought I would give this little documentary a chance. My wife is an equine fanatic and had abruptly purchased this film and brought it to the house. The film originally aired as a part of an ongoing PBS series called 'The American Experience.' I felt that the PBS flagship added some credibility to the project and went with it.
I was blown away. As you watch our beloved Seabiscuit go from obscurity, to national worship, you are mesmerized. I think it helped that I knew very little about his life going into the film.
Bottom line is that you will not be disappointed with the film. I was on the edge of my seat up until the glorious final race. The interviews are intelligent, the race footage has been restored in full glory here. Not only will the story move you, but the passion the economically destroyed American people felt towards Seabiscuit at the time will give you hope for our current trying times. 10 out of 10.

Well, after reading all the press and message boards, I was almost afraid to play this game. But, I went ahead, bought a copy and went for it. After getting used to the controls and learning the spell system, I found a game actually ahead of its time.
Tons of PS2 RPG's now copy this style of gameplay. Also the famed Elder Scrolls III goes the route U9 does.
The story is in depth. Almost every NPC walking the streets has something to add to the game. The landscapes are lavish and easy to look at.
So I recommend this for everyone? NO! Fans of the series and hardcore RPGers will love this. Just game fans, well I'm not saying you wont like it, it's just a very different kind od gaming experience than what your used to on the consoles!!!
All in all it is a good bow out for the series, and somehow I hope they bring the avatar back!

Wow. This is one of the great masterpieces of all time. I read an earlier comment, skewing the film. I promise, that will be only one negative review among thousands and thousands of positve reviews. How can one not be taken in by the marvelous cinematography, top notch acting, and well crafted screenplay.
There wasn't more than a 2 or 3 minute period where things weren't gut-wrenching. It is an experience only to be topped hopefully by the Return of the King. It will be a long time before any movie, fantasy or not ever makes one feel as this one did.
