Here we are in Castro's communist Cuba, and what do we find ? A piece of avant-garde theatre as a tribute to camp icon Freddie Mercury.
This seems to have started as a piece for theatre. Its setting appears to be a stage, surrounded by red curtains, with a few items - in the centre a crown and robes on a stand, sometimes some chairs, a trolley.
The main characters are a good-looking young man, bare to the waist, and another guy with an attempt at a Freddie Mercury moustache who talks almost non-stop.
Other characters are a woman in a heavy black dress, like something out of a Garcia Lorca play, a guy in what looked like a black dustbin liner as a jacket, a guy in uniform with an armband, and a blond roquero. They mainly sit or stand, giving heavily meaningful stares at the camera.
The music is mainly Queen - in particular "Who Wants to Live For Ever" and "The Show Must Go On" over opening and closing titles. (The credits listed a couple of Pink Floyd tunes - which I did not notice - as well).
