The best movie in a decade! Well acted! Very believable! Swordplay, epic battle scenes, romance, and breath taking scenery! You, too, will come under the spell and regret when the movie ends! Absorbing!

This movie follows the book fairly closely as far as plot and story line. When it deviates it does so to explain things the book makes obvious as you read.
Whether you like the Fantasy Genre or Tolkein this is a movie not to be missed. The photography, costumes, scenery, effect and props PUT YOU in Middle-Earth. The camera allows you to tag along on an incredible journey as several races fight for the Freedom of All. Adversity brings out the best and worst in its usual way in the most varied people. Not everybody is what they seem. See this movie for its beauty. Treasure it for a lifetime.
This is a movie destined to become a classic! And will be watched for generations to come. In my humble opinion it far surpasses Star Wars and should a defining movie for this decade/century/millenium.

I liked this movie. It moves quickly with enough action to keep you on your toes. It actually has a plot. While the plot is a standard one it is interesting and handled fairly well. There is a twist in the ending and not the one I was expecting. Jeff Fahey turns in his usual solid performance.
If you want an action thriller to take your mind off your troubles this is it. I think it is a cut above your standard B movie. It's been done better but mostly worse. Get out the popcorn and enjoy this one.
