We gave the film a chance for 90 minutes and that's it. The actors aren't not bad, maybe and partially really good. And the visual effects? Top! But what do you expect from a film that's honoured with seven Oscars? You want to enjoy a great summary artwork of a modern movie. That's the point: martial art scenes and friendly characters in high-tech Hollywood environment aren't enough. It's a pity for the main actress and actor and the photographers work. Only high speed travelling between the different worlds, dialogues without depths, too much chaos, too few red thread, no aim recognition in this long film. A question of taste.
Pro:
The idea to make a prequel of «John Wick» is very interesting. There is so much potential for a good storyline. Camerawork and effects, cuts and soundtrack nice.
Contra: Characters aren't deep enough formed, too much cliches, short dialogues for two minutes attention span kids. It seems like a comic strip under the pressure of making a movie for adults.
Summary: I was hopeful to be entertained and gave it a chance until the middle of the second episode. The John Wick movies are thousands of times better and much more enjoyable and deeper created than this attempt of an action artwork. It's a pity.

Perhaps the basic idea of this story is a good one and the questions of our times - the big gaps between poor and rich - find in this film not their answers but a opportunity to think about. Nevertheless is the film an endless queue of sequences and at all not convincing.
