Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 (1987) is the 2nd entry in the Silent Night, Deadly Night franchise and it stars Eric Freeman. This movie is on lists of the worst movies of all time and I totally understand that, but I unironically love this movie.
Positives for Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 (1987): Eric Freeman as Ricky Chapman is easily the best part of this movie as he gives one of the most ridiculous and insane performances in the history of the horror genre. This guy knew what movie he was in and he took advantage of that with his line delivery and eyebrow twitching. He is so committed in being this hammy over the top villain that you just want to hear him talk and no one else because he is so interesting as a character. The kills are so hilarious with the variety and my favorites are the umbrella kill and the one that spawned the iconic Garbage Day meme. And finally, this is one of those "So bad, it's good" movies that you can watch on loop and almost never get bored with it.
Negatives for Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 (1987): This movie is even a real movie because it reuses 30 minutes of footage from the original to fill out its runtime and I'm sorry but you can't do that and have the audacity to call this a real movie.
Overall, Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 (1987) is a lazy and stupid movie, but I love it for the stupidity and I will continue to love it for years to come.

Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984) is the first movie in a holiday slasher franchise where "Santa Claus" punishes people for being naughty on Christmas. Now I have watched this franchise multiple times and I have fun with the movies for the most part. With the new remake coming out in December, I have decided to binge and review the movies and I just got done rewatching the original and I can say that the movie is still a damn good time.
Positives for Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984): For me, this movie is perfect as a dumb fun holiday slasher horror movie that you can watch during the Christmas season. Now I do understand that there was some controversy over parents being angry with the movie depicting Santa Claus in a bad way even though he is a normal guy wearing a Santa Claus suit, so those people need to get over it. I do like how the movie has some moments that could scare kids to be nice and not naughty during that time. Robert Brian Wilson does a good job as Billy Chapman as you feel bad for the guy after what happened to him and his baby brother as kids and I can say the same for the two kids playing younger Billy. The side characters are just your standard meat bags to up the body count, but they were fun to be around. There are some good slasher movie elements with the sex scenes and kills with some decent gore effects that had the gore hound in me smiling. And finally, the movie is simple enough with its plot and runtime that keeps the audience engaged throughout without boring them to sleep.
Negatives for Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984): This movie works better with your brain turned off as there are moments that make no sense with certain characters doing and saying things they shouldn't be doing at all and it makes them look like big dummies for even doing those things.
Overall, Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984) is not a good movie, but it was certainly an entertaining holiday slasher horror movie for us horror fans to enjoy watching during the Christmas season.

Under the Bed (2012) is a horror movie directed by Steven C. Miller and it tells the story of a group of characters moving to a house that is haunted. This movie was a first time watch for me and it was just like every other haunted house horror movie.
Positives for Under the Bed (2012): The house that is home to the demonic entities is creepy enough. Jonny Weston, Gattlin Griffith, Peter Holden and Musetta Vander all do an okay job with their acting. The special effects for these entities are acceptable enough for the low budget. And finally, the movie has some fine jumpscares.
Negatives for Under the Bed (2012): This movie is literally every haunted house horror movie you've seen before this one. The plot is very predictable and you know exactly what is going to happen. The characters are blank sheets of paper that take the form of people. The demonic entities in the house are very generic looking. And finally, there are scenes where you can't tell what is going on because the lighting is really terrible.
Overall, Under the Bed (2012) is the type of generic horror movie that is best used as background noise for other activities and that is perfectly fine by me and you can watch it on Tubi right now.
