And tragic ones too sometimes. And dramatic. The main character here is Sonny Hayes a Formula 1 racer (acted by Brad Pitte who does an excellent job). The movie develops itself in a lot of almost permanent Formula 1 races where Hayes runs often but not without conflicts with other partakers and sharers not excluding a sentimental relationship with the technical director Kate. The most seducing aspect of this movie are the most appaling racing scenes including even a few accidents. The races shown were 24 Hours of Daytona, Spanish Grand Prix, British Grand Prix, Hungarian grand Prix, Italian Grand Prix, Belgian Grand Prix and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
I was there in Munich at the attack to watch the 1972 Olympic Games so I followed everything about it and suffered even some damage because some events to which I have tickets were postponed and i couldn't stay later and had to sell those tickets and go off. This was the attack of a Palestinian terrorist group to Israeli athletes, kidnapping them and started a hostage crisis with some dramatic events including the murder of the athletes during the police action against the terrorists. The movie tells the story of the ABC sports crew that was there to cover the Games and changed to cover the hostage crisis with some rivalry with other news agencies. This was very interesting to follow.
Full of humour and full of excellent music by Bob Dylan and others but mainly the great Bob Dylan's music. This movie is a part of Bob Dylan's biography from his former non acquaintance to his final glorious career. However his career had also several obstacles he had to fight. This movie tells about the several relationships he had, good ones and bad ones. The main good one was with his friend Guthrie. We can also see the romantic relationhips he had with Sylvie Russo and Joan Baez although however at a certain time Baez criticizes Dylan's ego. Perhaps his most important proffessional relationhhip is with Russo but it had ups and downs. His greatest success was at the Newport Folk Festival although wih some opposition from some audience. A brilliant movie worth to be seen.
This movie tries to show us how dogs are better than men. It tells a story of Douglas from his chilhood when he was violently abused by his father and closed in some kind of jail with his dogs till as already adult he tells his whole life atory to a psychiatrist lady that it goes from his childhood to the dramatic time of his getting envolved in a murder case that puts him to jail. He loves his dogs like if they were his children through a life time of several problems including sentimental ones. Through this movie the dogs behave almost like people to shpw us how much better they are than men. All with excellent images, acting and dialogues.
A great movie with an almost unreal story but made almost real by the extraordinary effort by all the young actors and actresses. The plot is about the group of young soldiers who keep watch of an American hostage, Doctora in a jungle mountain somewhere in Latin America. They perform military training exercises by day and do somewhat violent adventures by night under a shadowy force known as The Organization. The jungle scenes are vivid and realist and the acting of the young performers is great indeed. It is very pleasant to watch such a great movie with such visual sceneries and the face expressions of the young actors and actresses.
Yes this is mainly a musical movie and a great one, the dramatic plot being a pretext but well conceived and acted. Joaquin Phoenix (the Joker) is a great actor and performs an excellent part in a complicated one. The plot is about his double personality as Arthur Fleck. In custody at Arkham State Hospital awaiting trial for the crimes he committed before and as the Joker, a great comedian who has lots of fans who even want that he becomes free. We will then follow his trial where he dismisses his lady lawyer and also simultaneously his love affair with Harleen "Lee" another patient at the Hospital. This has several dramatic events including a severe bomb explsion thet destroys thr court room and kills and injuries several people. This is an excellent movie including visual tchnique and acting perfrormance.
Though an attractive one. The story is rather poor but images save the movie with dramatic explosions in scenes with people, the characters' action and the ghosts amusing themselves and living together with living people or being familiar with everyone but sometimes also suffering. The plot story reposes itself in the events that follow the Detz family tragedy. Its three generations return home to Winter River and have to face the mischievous ghost Beetlejuice when he wickedly appears after his name is said three times. This movie is indeed full of action that keeps you interested and attentive. All he actors and actresses do an excellent job.
This is a curious movie with practically no acting performers but showing with realist scenes, images and talks the real life of a black community in Alabama Hale County. It's vivid and lively and we can see how that people lives and talks and fights and suffers drama or enjoy something like playing basketball for instance. It is a pleasant movie to watch since it disposes us well with these people's lives like if we were living with them indeed. It's seldom that we see a movie of this kind looking like a documentary with no plot or special action. It disposes us well and it is very well directed and edited.
Like it's told in this excelent movie in terms of direction, images and scenery and the actresses performances.
This is the short story (but meaningful) of Maryam, a young doctor in a small town clinic who decides to run the risk of running for her local city elections despite being a woman who in Saudi Arabia is far for an advantage due to the general opposition men do to women. That opposition (somewhat disguised) is even also from her own family (father and younger sister).
However she behaves courageously and faces all the opposition, showing no fear at all. This movie shows an aspect ol life in Saudi Arabia mainly in what refers to women.

This movie is based on a book written by Priscilla, a former wife of the famous rock and roll famous star Elvis Presley. This means that the story is real. If it is true or not in every detail we don't know and it is not very interesting. The teen age girl, Priscilla, and Elvis fell in love with each nother and we don't know exactly how their first meeting happened. Then they got married but their mariage was not very happy since Elvis was often absent due to his acting career. And Priscilla was still a student and her work was also not very well performed. This is not a bad movie but not a good one either. So so.
A brilliant movie telling us the story of Enzo Ferrari a real ex-racecar driver that now (1957 summer) is changed into a famous car company entrepreneur facing bankruptcy. This splendid movie is based in true real events happening in Italy at that time. Ferrari's company was set up by him and his wife Laura (Penelope Cruz, an excellent character). Therefore he tries to save things by entering a great race, the Mille Miglia, that runs 1.000 miles across Italy, putting well known drivers there. However his private life is not going well since he has a bad relationship with is wife Laura among other reasons because of an adulterous case he has with the beautiful Lina (Shailene Woodley). The most amazing aspect of this movie is the womdeful filmimg of the car races.
Too full of dramatic troubles and problems. Not a good movie but not a bad one either since it keeps you entertained for the whole time of the casting. The small-time thief Alvin Sanders gets himself in a lot of troubles and vexations since the time on which he gets himself jailed for stealing some prawns from a restaurant and is put in a cell with John Jaster a high-tech criminal thief whose team had stolen $42.000.000 of gold from the Federal Reserve. Since Jaster had a bad heart condition and is afraid to die he uses Alvin to find the whereabouts of the gold that is hidden somewhere. This puts Alvin into a lot of troubles and fights even violent.. This keeps you arrentive and entertained through the whole movie time.
Too complicated. Everything begins when in 1920 oil is found in the Osage Nation land in Oklahoma. The situation is a bit mysterious when the Osage people begin to be murdered one after one by the whites of course. This despite the fact that there are important interracial marriages when some white men marry Osage girls. Murders happen also in these mixed families although by personal motives based on material wealth greed. The parts are greatly performed by excellent actors and actresses such as Leonardo DiCaprio as Ernest Burkhart, Lily Gladstone as Moliie Burkhart and Robert De Niro as William Hale. Mollie and Ernest fell in love with each other and get married. Mollie is an Osage and Ernest a white man. A excellent movie to be seen.
And some problems because the theatre rehearsal woman director wants the young actress Madeline to have a great performance. The whole movie is the story of a theatre rehearsal where the actors and actresses talk to each other about their lives and problems. The young Madeline brings psychologically her personal troubles to her rehearsal performance mainly those who derive from her relationship with her mother. She performs this very well being adnired by the director and by the other performers. This is well shown in all the scenes by the performers' talent, chiefly by the young Madeline's character.
