''71' uses historical background to the fullest. The most tumultuous times in UK history bring the tension of the movie to the highest level. Relationships, objects, interests of UK intel, old IRA, and young IRA are all intertwined, and each one's using another. All three parties want Hook for different reasons, but all three want him dead, so pressure is threefold.
''71' is a good thriller because of the way the director uses the camera and the space effectively. When the young IRA group is trying to find Hook, the director chooses an apartment complex with many stairs for the setting. The spiral of the stairs and all connected and closed off four sides remind the audience of spider web and labyrinth. When Hook is being chased, the camera is shaky and tries to show many close-up scenes of Hook's face. The camera-man is running with Hook right beside him, and so is the audience. The reality and vividness from camera work are exceptional.

Even though 'You Hurt My Feelings' is a calm and quiet movie, what I thought and what I felt during the movie was dynamic and busy. Even though the topic of conflict between Beth and Don seems small, and how they solve it is not dramatic at all, I can relate to the couple 100% because that topic is real as heck and even mundane, and most couples including me figure out solutions like Beth and Don: a few days of silence and awkwardness and eventually honest conversation and apology.
The storyline seems linear and simple, but it never gets boring. I got to compare what Don does to Beth and what Beth does to Elliott and to find paradoxes. 'What you say vs. What you think', 'honesty vs. White lies' theme is uniform throughout the movie. It happens in Don's job, Sarah and Mark's relationship, & Beth and her mom's relationship.
So simple, so adorable, so pleasing, so relatable all at the same time, and ninety minutes passed so fast.

I'm not a fan of hero movies, especially all the Marvel and DC franchises. I just don't get it. I'm not blaming people who love the franchises, but I'd rather save time from those consecutively, non-stopping-ly released movies and focus more on individually well-made quality movies. I did not know much about 'Freaks' and just thought it was a science fiction thriller movie. However, 'Freaks' is more than that and could be the start of its own universe or franchise.
The plot development is textbook, so it has strong enough power to grip the audience and stay gripped till the end. This is very hard to do in the SF genre because it has a huge wall; once the audience gets to climb up, jump to the other side, and be immersed in that world, it gets easier from that point. 'Freaks' does a wonderful job of inviting viewers to its world. The story building process is the textbook, but what the film talks about and how it talks about it are not traditional at all. Chloe is a 7-year-old girl, the protagonist of the movie. She's a girl with supernatural powers, but is she necessarily GOOD as she's supposed to be? No. Chloe's family is not there to save the world; they sometimes hurt innocent people to protect themselves, and I love it because the directors do not cover it up with a ribbon on it.
