I watched this film yesterday (22.06.2008) Although I'm very interested in films and I know most of the films released even I don't watch it was interesting that I never heard of this movie. Also I bought this film incidentally from the video store, so I had absolutely no idea about this film except its name and Josh Hartnett being in this film.

Generally I like sci-fi films,series not the ones with the aliens but the ones with good scripts. If there is not a fantastic, interesting part in a movies I generally get bored easily. And firstly I can say that there is nothing interesting about this film at first glance.

I dislike about telling and reading important clues about the film here because I find it a disrespect to the script-writer and the audience. I think surprise must stay at the film not here. Well what I can say as a big surprise about this film its script. It's absolutely perfect. As a man who generally doesn't like "romantic" films I loved this film very much. Actors, actresses are playing very well but even if there were different players in this film I would really enjoy it...

All clue about scripts is flash-backs. So you can easily understand there are flash-backs. But flash-backs are designed so wisely and lovely that you always stay curious about everything about past,now and then.

Lastly I got curious and wanted to learn rating of this film in IMDb when I saw 6.8 I really got puzzled. Nowadays I'm watching so ordinary films who get scores more than 7 and is this film just regular? And I'm sometimes suspicious that are companies entering IMDb with fake identities and pushing up the scores for crap films? As a summary... Watch this one! Another note to submit. I'm a man who loves sci-fi and don't like romantic films. For sure watch it! After reading my comment if you decide to watch and dislike this film I'll do some thing you wish if I can to compensate your hours...

After having seen this movies I was surprised because it was beyond my expectations.I was expecting a film with some poor jokes and little nice jokes but it was an interesting experience to see that the film has got good humorous parts.More than this the level of drama is perfect,in one scene it makes you laugh and in the coming scene you can cry so it's really hard to mix these so perfectly in a film.

What made really excited is the level of quality of direction in this movie.I know the music clips and other films of this director (Ö.Faruk Sorak who also directed G.O.R.A.) and I always liked his style,maybe he doesn't bring a new kind of direction style to the world but I think he can make the best direction in Turkey.Although I live in Europe I don't like the European style movies and I always like to see good action sees with a good scenario and this goal is achieved perfectly by this director.

Although the superiority of this film for a Turkish person I don't think it can make the same impact in Europe or United States because the film tells you a story which makes real deep wounds (I'm not joking,the wounds are really deep!) in Turkish young people.I think after the great Hababam Sinifi; movies (the old ones with Kemal Sunal,etc.) this is the only film that can take to high school ages' memories.

And the last words...It's 9/10 and It's not 10/10 because of its ending...It gives real good advices to the life but when the film finishes you leave the theater with some questions in your mind but maybe there is coming a second film and I may change my mind to 10/10 after seeing the conclusion.

Shortly If you are living in Turkey don't miss it!! If you are living out of Turkey if you can't see it in the theater take the DVD,you won't regret.

P.S.: It's a good idea that Jean Claude Van Damme is playing in the movie to attract an interest but the poorest level of acting is from him in the whole acting squad I think.

This is a film starting with quite a low tempo that you feel you'll be watching the clash of two guys for one woman.But even in the times you feel like you're watching a film just based on the dialogs of two men you can get satisfied with the level of acting by the two actors.Most spectacularity of this film is that by not giving any clue to you that surprises will happen when you get closer to the end with the real success of the director you experience some interesting things in the film which changes your sympathy to the major roles.Or it doesn't change your opinion but lets you to some little or more eye drops.For me the most interesting comment could be said for this movie is that,in the first part you ask yourself that "Did I make a wrong decision to start watching the movie" and when the second part comes you say yourself that "Yes.This is not the film of my life but not only worth watching but also one of the best among the similar ones" As a last word I can say that this film is definitely in the best ten films directed in Turkey.Congratulations to the crew.
