Completely brainless plot with no direction or progress. Humourless jokes, busha busha fights, braindead romance, always crying main character with no development at all... even if you skip 1000 episodes, you won't miss a single damn thing. Characters come from nowhere for absolutely no purpose and vanish without a trace. It has a name related to cricket but you won't see a single damn thing about cricket for almost all episodes. Even a person without brain understand the story. This show seriously doesn't have anyway to end it as there's direction for the story. Don't watch it unless you wanna purposely waste time.

First thing I must say is that the visuals are stunning, and they give us the dark, gothic, mysterious, emotional vibe of Lord of the Mysteries, which is its essence. Voice acting is also good for Chinese dubs. (don't know about other dubs). The adaptation is very faithful and covers the most important parts of each chapter and the character designs are good. So far... I never found any downsides to the adaptation. Casual viewers have to pay full attention to fully understand what's going on... but it's worth it. I have no intention of giving spoilers and ruining your entertainment, but you should know this is just the tip of the iceberg. Things get better and better from now on !

Renegade Immortal, a masterpiece written by Er Gen, is one of the greatest web novels of all time. A perfect blend of action, fantasy, romance, philosophy, and plot twists. This is a very good adaptation that's faithful to the novel and also rich in visuals, soundtracks, and storytelling. I'm a newbie to donghua, but the first episode is enough to make me a huge fan of Chinese animation. I highly recommend this one to absolutely everyone. The MC is morally gray and not a hero at all... but he is well-developed. Even those who aren't fans of anti-heroes and villainous main characters should give it a try.
