Look, I'll give it to you, if this is your first run in with a movie like this you'll probably like it. However;
This is probably one of the most poorly written films I've ever seen. The dialogue is super cliché, the acting is dead and the whole story is boring. How many "I'm a guy over the phone, and I'll kill people if you don't do what I say" movies are we going to see? It is so tiring to see. The whole movie just feels like a whole bunch of "Woah, wouldn't it be so crazy/cool/sick if that happened?!?". It gets old really quick when you know there is going to be a twist around every corner.
So, overall. If this is your first "Evil guy over the phone" or horror-ish film, you honestly might like it. But to everyone else, this is the most horrendous writing to bare witness to.

I feel bad for Bruce Willis, his dementia has just rid him of the ability to act and it shows. I loved so many of his films.
Where do I begin with this one. The action is boring, the acting stale, the dialogue lacks any depth or subtlety. There are no narrative themes to even speak of. I was helplessly dragging myself through this to try and make it to the end.
Even yet, I watched it twice. I watched it w while ago, thought "no way it could've been that bad", and was very harshly reminded of how much of a snooze fest this movie is.
And on a completely separate note, i am tired of when the bad guys in action films can't aim at all. These people will be at point blank range and either not shoot or miss completely.
Incredibly unrealistic, I beg you to save your time.

TL;DR, not great but okay, but man do some things get to me.
Look I've seen my fair share of bad action films, believe me I'm a sucker for poorly written films.
This movie isn't good narrativly, I'll say that, but it atleast managed to do some things right that made it a step above other bad action films. It tried to take time to build its characters, it wasn't incredibly one-note, and it didn't just jump straight into the action/fights but took the time to build toward it.
The one thing that really gets me is the final confrontation. It doesn't feel like one at all. Just a quick little fight, and boom, the movie ends. Also, not really a fan of the depiction of Autism in the film. It kind of plays into the stereotype that people with Autism are just infantile.
