Spun off from the popular sitcom Girlfriends, The Game was about the adventures of a woman who gave up her offer of admission to medical school to follow her boyfriend's football career in San Diego.
Melanie Barnett (played by the beautiful Tia Mowry) and her boyfriend Derwin Davis (played by Pooch Hall) were the main couple of the show. The other characters include Malik Wright (played by Hosea Chanchez) and his mother Tasha (played by the funny Wendy Raquel Robinson), and the 2nd couple of the show Jason & Kelly Pitts (played by Coby Bell and Brittany Daniel, respectively). After Tia and Pooch left the show in S6, we get introduced to a few new characters, including Jason's ex-wife Chardonnay (played by the beautifully talented Brandy Norwood), and the new lead couple Keira Whitaker and Bryce "Blueprint" Westbrook (played by Lauren London and Jay Ellis, respectively).
If you enjoy a pure sitcom, watch the first 3 seasons, because by the time The CW canceled it and got revived by BET, it featured plenty of dramatic moments.

Ever wondered how Chris Rock got to where he is today? This show gives us the look of his childhood from his perspective in the 1980s, and it wasn't easy for him to survive from his family to his school life and the world itself.
Teenage Chris (played to perfection by Tyler James Williams) attempts to balance it all, with his overprotective and crazy mother Rochelle (played to hilarious perfection by Tichina Arnold), his tight wad father Julius (played by the funny Terry Crews), his younger brother, the smooth ladies man Drew (played by Tequan Richmond) and his sassy tattletale sister Tonya (played by Imani Hakim), and his best friend Greg (played by Vincent Martella), and it's all hilariously narrated by Chris Rock himself, reminiscing the era of The Wonder Years.
Outside of the main cast, most of the characters in the city of Bed-Stuy are also hilarious in a way, like Risky (Mike Estime), Doc (Antonio Fargas), Monk (Todd Bridges), Jerome (Kevontay Jackson, who is up there as my favorite side character), Mr. Omar (Ernest Lee Thomas, my 2nd favorite side character), Chris' 1st dream girl Keisha (Aree Davis) and her mother Sheila (the sassy Keesha Sharp), Chris' recurring girlfriend Tasha (Paige Hurd) and her overprotective maternal grandmother Louise (Whoopi Goldberg), alongside her mother Peaches (the hilarious Tisha Campbell), Rochelle's gossipy friend Vanessa (the hilarious Jackée Harry), petty criminal Malvo (Ricky Harris), Chris' everyday bully Joey Caruso (Travis T. Flory), Principal Edwards (the hilarious Jason Alexander), Chris's supposedly friendly, kind-hearted but immensely racist teacher Ms. Morello (Jacqueline Mazarella, who is also up there as a favorite side character of mine), the list goes on.
So, if you haven't check out this series yet, what are you waiting for? See for yourself!

Based on the Ice Cube movie franchise Are We There Yet?, this series continues off from the sequel movie Are We Done Yet?.
AWTY: The Series stars the funny Terry Crews as Nick Persons, who is married to his wife Suzanne Kingston-Persons (the talented Essence Atkins) and have 2 children: Kevin (Coy Stewart) and Lindsey (Teala Dunn), along with Nick's mother Marilyn (the funny Telma Hopkins). Outside of the family, Nick has his best friend Martin (Christian Finnegan), and Suzanne's best friend and co-worker Gigi (the sassy Keesha Sharp).
We also do get Ice Cube (who's also the executive producer of the series) as Suzanne's brother Terrence, so if you liked the AWTY movies, give the TV series a shot and see for yourself.
