Marvel is once again trying to rekindle interest in its universe, but instead of innovative ideas, viewers are confronted with a dull blend of familiar clichés. The film attempts to merge action with a political thriller, but it loses balance in the very first act. References to previous Marvel films turn the plot into a convoluted maze, making it difficult for newcomers to navigate, and the attempts to combine global conflicts with Sam Wilson's personal struggles result in a muddle of underdeveloped concepts.
Sam, having inherited Captain America's shield, finds himself at the center of an intrigue involving an assassination attempt on President Ross. The conspiracy, tied to adamantium, super-soldiers, and an artificial war between the USA and Japan, seems promising, but unfortunately is poorly executed. The antagonist appears flat and uninteresting, and attempts to explore the moral dilemmas faced by the heroes are reduced to banal dialogue.
While the film could have been expected to be visually more impressive, the action scenes feel tedious and clichéd, and the use of green screen is overly apparent. Even Red Hulk looks absurd. The humor, which is usually a strong point for Marvel, is misplaced here, and the climax fails to evoke a sense of a final battle.
It seems that the writers tried to please fans by cramming numerous crossovers into the plot, resulting in a movie that feels overloaded, with a slow pace and a lack of tension. It appears that "New World" was made solely to fill Disney+'s schedule. This is a sequel that seems to have forgotten its original purpose.

I really wanted to like this film, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. There are no characters who could compare to such an outstanding hero as Caesar. The main character was not impressive. The film does not offer anything particularly new, and I miss the unique atmosphere that director Matt Reeves created. The main antagonist could have been truly captivating and powerful, but he simply doesn't have enough screen time to showcase his potential and become something truly great. The plot felt predictable, and the dialogue lacked the depth and emotion that could have made the story more engaging. Overall, the film failed to capture the magic that made its predecessors so memorable.
