Coppola gets directors credit for adding nonsense monsters to the movie created by others. Dubbed dialogue is not imaginative. The Russians keep adding this still shot of a Kremlin floor cleaner looking at a distance. Two Hollywood professions put their name on a disgraceful insult to movie goers everywhere.

Bad writing. Has the show jumped the shark? The whole show had a cutesy, in-bred feel. They probably brought in a soap opera writer or show runner. The show seemed close to being canceled & then decided on a new course. They are probably out of fresh ideas & decided a soap opera can go on forever. Decide for yourself.

This movie should be compared to early Hitchcock! Light and shadow is perfect. Writing is excellent; it did not need to be faster paced and did have some complexity. John Mills was an early anti-hero. The others actors had real roles. Rene Ray did a fantastic job as female lead. I probably should have rated it higher, but I am a tough grader.

Looking at the film from a producer's perspective, I should think the goals were all satisfied. The set where Ray & Mills were chased was realistic. It had many entrances & exits. The camera shots were varied. It allowed for interesting views like set-ups used in a more modern films.
