"Kryptic" is a movie that feels a little all over the place, like the director couldn't decide what kind of story they wanted to tell. At times, it seems like a thriller, a psychedelic horror or a drama about a descent into madness , and the mix can be a bit confusing.
Even with its messy direction, "Kryptic" is still enjoyable. The visuals are great, the suspense keeps things interesting, and the unpredictable nature adds to the appeal. While a clearer vision could have made it stronger, there's enough here to make it worth watching.
Despite its flaws, I liked it and its a 7/10 for me
Let me know if you'd like any further tweaks!

Daisy Ridley takes the lead in "Cleaner", a tense, neat, understated action thriller that swaps Hollywood bombast for British grit. Think "Die Hard" but quieter & very English .
Ridley plays Joey, a London window cleaner trapped in a skyscraper siege. She's tough but restrained, less quips, more resolve. The action keeps things gripping without excess, with scaffold chases and tight hallway fights.
Clive Owen no Hans Gruber, but his deputy certainly rises to occasion. Some moments drag, but Ridley's controlled intensity keeps it compelling.
So what if the film doesn't reinvent the genre, but it delivers a sharp, subtle take on the lone-hero formula. If you want an action thriller with more realism and less spectacle, this one's worth a watch.

Once again Hollywood runs out of fresh ideas by rebooting the classic all male plus Annie Potts Ghostbusters, with an all female version plus Thor.
Let me make this very clear, the actresses involved are all top class, and different sex reinterpretations actually work sometimes ,also it's great to see all the cameos & the effects are superb, but overall it doesn't completely work.
What's right with it?
Superb effects , excellent cinematography, paid all the right homages , Wiig, McCarthy,Jones & Hemsworth are all excellent. There is also an unexpected darkness to it , which was interesting. And Bill Murray's cameo was a highlight.
But it's what's wrong with it that drags the movie down.
It's too long & it lacks pace. The plot isn't really clear & the bad guy just appears without any explanation or follow through. The Erin Gilberts boyfriend, at the beginning of the film, back story served zero purpose & they should have just stuck to the tenure storyline. The other characters weren't given any real backstory (except Abby Yates) & seem to be check list copies of the original characters. And whose idea was Kevin?
It tries way too hard to be the originals equal, but it does have a lot of heart going for it.
I've given the film a 6 rating, it would have been a 7 but for Kate McKinnon's unnecessarily over the top performance.
