It might be 30 years old now, but it still stands the test of time, which is rare. Paul Rudd's first real movie. An enjoyable movie that doesn't feel old and is as relevant then as it can be today. Clueless is the ultimate Sunday film for us. As I said it might be 30 years old, but Paul Rudd still looks the same, bully for you Paul!
Rudd is perfectly cast as an impossibly honest brother who innocently, but agreeably, disrupts the various lives of his three sisters. Our Idiot Brother is both sweet and amusing, if not particularly funny. It tends to meander a bit, but greatly benefits from an attractive and immensely likable cast. Banks, as one of Rudd's sisters, is a particular standout. Has Rudd been in a bad movie?
No, Apatow wasn't involved in this one but still very, very funny.
Most underrated comedy in rotten tomatoes, this flick is seriously funny with all of th biblical references. Strong personalities for most characters and very good acting. Yeah Jack Black's goofy scenes are perfectly matched by Michael Cera's hopeless sarcasm and Jack's little dance at the entryway to the party is insanely funny like Oliver Platt's "seduction games" with Cera and many, many more. Paul Rudd making a cameo. See it.
