As a long-time fan of Black Mirror, I never thought I'd see the day when an episode would feel more like a parody than the psychological, thought-provoking storytelling the show is known for. But here we are - Season 7, Episode 2 is hands down one of the worst, most absurd entries in the entire series.
The concept behind the episode is painfully shallow. It starts with a premise that could've been summed up in a single line - something like "What if X happened?" - and then proceeds to stretch it thin over the course of the episode with no real depth, nuance, or emotional weight. It feels like a child came up with the idea and nobody in the writers' room questioned it.
The execution is even worse. There's no suspense, no buildup, no atmosphere. Just a linear series of events that go nowhere interesting. The "twist" (if you can even call it that) is laughably bad. I literally laughed out loud, not because the writing was clever, but because it was just so dumb. It felt more like a badly written skit from a teen comedy show than an actual Black Mirror episode.
The ending was the final nail in the coffin - a ridiculous, slapstick turn of events that made me question if the show was trying to mock itself. It was so disconnected from the tone Black Mirror is known for that I actually rechecked to make sure I was watching the right episode. It lacked any emotional punch or insight. It wasn't haunting or disturbing or thought-provoking. It was just... embarrassing.
The dialogue was equally weak. Characters constantly explain everything out loud like the audience can't keep up - which is ironic, considering how little there is to understand. The themes aren't subtle, the pacing is off, and the whole thing feels like it's going through the motions without any real purpose.
The acting wasn't bad, and I do feel for the cast who tried their best with a terrible script. The production quality was decent too - it looks like a Black Mirror episode. But peel back the visuals, and there's nothing underneath. It's like putting designer wrapping paper on an empty box.
It's honestly insulting to long-time fans of the show. Black Mirror used to challenge us - it made us uncomfortable, made us question our relationship with technology and society. This episode does none of that. It's lazy, juvenile, and forgettable. It feels like it was written by someone who thinks they understand what Black Mirror is about, but completely missed the point.
Final Verdict: 2/10 One point for the decent visuals, and one for the actors who deserved a better script. Otherwise, this was a complete misfire - an episode so bad it almost felt like a joke.

A beautiful and very enjoyable movie, very close to the heart, and also sensitive, comedic and romantic, and I liked it very much.
I liked the way the idea was presented in a new way, and the way it was talked about relationships and connections was very clear, understandable, and close to the viewer as well.
The acting of the actors was wonderful, very close to the viewer and natural. The events are not boring at all, but rather enjoyable and beautifully engage the viewer.
I hope to see the work of more actors who were in the movie, and many thanks to the crew for this nice work.
Very nice movie.
