Accolades to Emily Lape for her outstanding acting, writing, and directing in this movie-I'm hoping to see more films that reflect her sensibility, creativity, and depth! I was also impressed by Alison Hixon's portfolio; she was a fantastic addition to the movie. The camera operator did an excellent job as well-I really appreciated how the film was shot, along with its realistic ending that beautifully blends hope with sadness. I also enjoyed the flow and pace of the movie, which captured the ephemeral, fleeting moments of our inner lives, often confined to our bedrooms, that ultimately shape us so profoundly. Emily Lape deserves more opportunities and recognition!

This movie as well as movie 'Islander' are unexpected gems when it comes to movies blending beauty of Downeast Maine, struggles of daily life, dilemmas and dramas and serious set backs, and it seems pretty rough life of lobstermen and dark sides of the business associated with their livelihood. Both movies have loose ends and open endings (no miracles) and the stories are surprisingly deep and convincing and multi-faced, which make them superb. Looking forward to more movies of the directors. I have been to this region of Maine last Thanksgiving and I found scenography of this movie to be very well done.
