I thought Order of the Phoenix was the best adaption of any of the HP books as of yet. It's a big book to tackle, that's for sure. But the writers and director uses tricks such as quick flashbacks and cutaways to condense the book into a mere 2 hours and 20mins. If I wasn't so tired at 2:30am last night I would have wanted more. And still I'd love for a directors cut when the double discs come out at Christmas time. Was it a perfect movie? No, but as an avid reader it was a perfect adaption of one of my favorite books. Again add an hour to it please, it would have been much better. I can't fault OOP though, this was the best installment so far. The angst and darkness of Harry's situation was played perfectly.
Some things that bothered me and of course spoiler warning abound: The use of Ginny Weasley and her "Strong powers." I'm guessing the slight nudge to the 6th book was needed there, for those of who know nuff said. But please, it's well known that Hermione is one of the most remarkable witches of her generation, probably the best. To have Ginny generating immense power, and packing a huge punch while Hermione can barely produce a spark is insulting. Let's stop with the insinuations here and stick to the facts instead of Ship preferences.
That was my only gripe. Other than that this was a service to the fans of the books and nothing more. I'm sorry if those of you still didn't get it, then go out and read the series you may be clued in. But I'm guessing those who felt disjointed with HP were prolly feeling out of the loop. And rightly so, this was one of the first movies as of yet to be a totally fan-service.

I just saw Superman returns and since there's no room for many words let alone a comment let me sum up this movie briefly and concisely. If you're a Superman fan.... through and through loving every bit of variations that Superman has donned the last few decades get ready to love this movie. I squeaked and loved every bit of it. If you're looking for a no brainer with lots of cool cgi and action then rent King Kong. Superman returns is the 3rd installment that Donner should have made and Singer has done a phenomenal job. I'm going to see it again tomorrow in hopes of absorbing more of the greatness. All I can say for those who thought the movie dragged on..... well too bad this is Superman and all that he is. He's in love with Lois Lane, he overcompensates by trying to take on the world and yeah he has a bit of a hero complex. This was awesome, awe inspiring and a great time Singer has taken a legend in comic fandom and brought it to life in a way that makes me feel like tonight I was a part of something huge. Maybe how movie goers felt in 1978 when the original Superman was released. A must see for any fan or fellow Supehead.
