"We lost 2% of the world. The rest of us lost everything else."
The Leftovers is by far one of the most unappreciated TV shows about. Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta created something deeply weird, impossibly sad, and profoundly human. It's a series about grief, faith, guilt, and the unknowable, and it somehow nails all of it without ever feeling over the top or pretentious.
Justin Theroux gives the performance of a lifetime as Kevin Garvey. What could've been your typical brooding, one-note 'sad cop' performance becomes something so much deeper. It's extremely raw, layered, and electric with immense emotional risk. But it's Carrie Coon as Nora Durst, who delivers one of the most devastating, soul destroying performances ever put to screen.
Then there's Max Richter's score, don't even get me started. I think it's my favourite score by far from a TV show perspective. 'The Departure' could resurrect tears from a stone.
The beauty of The Leftovers is in its refusal to give you easy answers. Instead, it offers moments of grace, devastation, and surreal transcendence. It's about what we do with our pain, what it means to keep going, and the silent hope that maybe, just maybe, there's meaning in the mess.

I don't know what I expected when I pressed play on Dying for Sex. Maybe something raunchy as hell. Maybe something extremely depressing. But I wasn't prepared for was how this series would crawl under my skin and just... stay there.
Molly isn't a character. She's a woman unraveling in real time. Her body's failing, and no one knows what to do with that. Not her husband, not her doctors, not even herself. So she does the thing she does best, she makes meaning out of chaos. She dives headfirst into sex, story and sensation. She's doing anything that feels like life while she still has it.
Yeah, this series definitely have it's funny moments. Some parts made me laugh out loud in fact. But the other parts? The other parts felt like being punched in the chest while smiling because underneath Molly's wild stories is a loneliness so sharp it bleeds.
What broke me most wasn't even the diagnosis. It was the friendship. Molly and Nikki. The way they held each other through the fear, the dark jokes, the quiet knowing. It reminded me how love can be both the thing that saves you and the thing that makes the goodbye all the more unbearable.
This show doesn't give you answers. It just hands you the pain, and asks you to feel it.

People need to understand that we are currently witnessing greatness and I don't put it lightly when I say this is one of the best if not the best show to have come out this year.

Don't get me wrong, from season one it was always evident this show was of the upper echelon. But the jump from the first 2 seasons to this season 3 was of the highest quality.
The arcs, the writing, the cinematography and the acting has all jumped even further to make this now a prestige TV show.
God I just pray this show finally gets some recognition during awards season man.
All I have left to say now is thank you Mickey Down and Konrad Kay.
