I am just not sure of what it was that made me want to watch the entire series of SS-GB after starting out thinking I would watch a few minutes just as a lark. I thought the whole concept had been done before and been explored, or it might be overly-simplistic, but no, SS-GB turned out to be very thoughtful, well-written and well done.

The main actor's demeanor and attitude was so close to channeling the English actor John Hurt, Kaine chest-burster guy from Alien. He completely got the voice 100% right.

One thing that made me give this high marks is that it showed the Germans as people in a way that I found unexpected. It was very interesting to see them jockeying for political position and scheming against each other trying to stay alive.

I won't say it was perfect - 10, and I won't say it is average 5, somewhere in between so I will rate this as a 7. For what it was, very well done.

First thing is that all these people must be multi-millionaires. The scenery and locations and vacations are luxurish as heck. Far far beyond the average American's universe.

The series started out to clunky and formulaic, and so intensely politically correct I don't even know why I kept watching it - yes I do, because I had watched every other new show and this was all that was left that held any interest for me at all.

Towards the end was when it finally gained enough depth and interest for me though looking back on it it was really male oriented even in the gay scenes. I don't want t pan the gay stuff, I think it is important for media to be inclusive - but much of it was stereotypes. As fun as some moments were others werre really repugnant.

For those on the edge, watch it and I think it will get better. Some reviews on other movie review sites really brought out the haters and that was very sad to see.

I thought it had some value despite having to wade through some discomfort of my old fashioned sensibilities.

The beginning of this series, episode 1, begins with a scene so horrifically violent I ( a tough old man ) had to turn it off. I'm not really sure why I came back to this, and whatever reason it was it does not bode well for movie viewers to be so easily manipulated by ugly violence.

Once I got over the first episode and keep on watching I was interested in the plot, but like a lot of movies, the more the plots rolls out the more you can see the inconsistencies - and in Pieces Of Her" the inconsistencies were many and long.

I found this movie so unacceptable because it is the kind of movie that requires you not to know things in the beginning that once you lean about them later in the movie you realize the whole plot is ridiculous.

Currently I am about two episodes from the end and trying to decide if I should finish this or just give up. At this point the more I watch the more my skepticism multiplies.

I don't think I have the patience.
