This episode's A plot is boring and the B plot is beyond offensive. House has been transphobic in past episodes and I'm always disappointed when those episodes come around, but the way they're dismissive and disrespectful to the very real and valid existence of asexuality is beyond the pale.
We all know House jumped the shark when Cuddy left and that there's maybe two good episodes in all of season eight. (Nobody's Fault and the series finale) but for them to double down on close-minded, ignorant bigotry here is disappointing.
Not even the guest starring Melanie Lynskey (who is, as always, brilliant) is enough to save this terrible episode.

First, I don't know how anyone is saying it's too long. It's only 8 episodes for heaven's sake. If you have an attention span longer than a tiktok video you should be fine!
There's no lag, no downtime, no filler - it's a nonstop comedy with subtle jokes, poignant moments and the perfect amount of twists. I thought I had it solved by episode six until a single line of dialogue debunked my whole dang theory and it was back to square one! I did finally get it, but only about two seconds before the show confirmed!
The stacked cast is amazing, but Uzo Aduba steals the whole show - as she should. An absolutely flawless performance. I would watch a dozen seasons of this show just to watch Detective Cupp in action!!

I've loved Toni Collette since 1994 when I first saw Muriel's Wedding and she's turned in magnificent performances in pretty much everything else I've seen her in - this limited series is no exception. She's brilliant as always.
The same cannot be said for the rest of the cast.
For several episodes I was convinced that the actresses playing Andy and young Jane were the same person because they're both flat, wooden, one-dimensional with zero stage presence and a combined three facial expressions: scared, dead-eyed and "do you smell that?"
David Wenham, who for some reason sounds like Jon Voight when he tries to put on an American accent, phoned in his performance. I saw nothing of the passionate young actor from LotR and 300.
Even Terry O'Quinn was bleh and he's one of my all time favorite actors.
The story itself was OK... it's an interesting premise with a kinda creepy mystery that quickly becomes boilerplate and mundane when more details are revealed. It was... fine I guess but nothing I'd ever feel the urge to rewatch.
