Burgundy

This movie does a great job of showing a different angle on the WW2 time period. The struggles the youth of Germany went through during that time were portrayed very well. People complain that this movie doesn't show the horror of the holocaust and the awful persecution the Jews faced, but that is not what it's trying to do! We all read or hear about what the Nazis did to the Jews (& other minorities) and think that the Germans must have been horrible people to have even gone along with this. But this shows how the propaganda they were constantly fed--as well as the activities & sense of belonging the HJ (Hitler Jungen) experienced--could slowly twist their minds to the Nazi way of thinking. One of the excellent things about this movie is how it shows how the main characters change. The changes in Peter & Thomas come very slow and natural, and only when you get to the end (and maybe re-watch it) do you realize how drastically they have changed their views. (Thomas especially)

There were some not-so-great things about the movie, like some characters or scenes which, when you think back, seem to have been included for an unknown reason. But the good points of the movie out-weigh the minor nit-picks. The swing music and dancing in the movie was awesome, and I thought all the characters were acted very well by the actors. They did a good job of showing the confusion that the young Germans must have felt, not knowing who was right. All in all, I really enjoyed this movie, and I think it makes you think as well.

I've only seen this show 3 or 4 times, but I have to say that I like it a lot more than other shows such as "Sabrina". (the TGIF show that has been running way too long) It has a more unique plot than average, and can be quite funny. Though Keith (Trevor Fehrman) is really the funniest person on the show, not the main character Andrew.

It's too bad they're cancelling it. But, of course, the better shows on TGIF are cancelled (remember Teen Angel from a couple years ago?) while the boring and repetative ones live forever.

Maybe it's because we were 3 teenage girls in the mood for a fun, sort of silly, romantic little movie, but when my sister, a friend and I watched Never Been Kissed we all agreed that we liked it a lot.

This isn't a classic, Oscar-worthy film, and if you watch it expecting it to be, than you'll definately be disapointed. It was better than a lot of the other teen flicks out there though, such as She's All That. (but don't go in thinking it's going to be awful either, then you'll be prejudiced from the start and not much will make you like it)

Drew Barrymore was good, as she always is, and beautiful, though I disagree with anyone who says that making her a geek doesn't work. When they made her ugly, she did look like a very believable geek. We were just cringing with horror at some of those scenes from Josie's high school years. And I thought Leelee Sobieski (sp?) was also believable. Who says that the outcasts and geeks are always ugly and that the popular people are always beautiful? Sure, that is often the case, but there are many other factors that can be more important to being included in the in crowd. (clothes, attitude...)

All 3 of us also unanimously agreed that the actor who played the teacher Mr. Coulson, Micheal Vartan, was very good and we can't wait to see him again in another movie. Not only was he very good-looking, but also, we thought, a terrific actor.

Oh yes, and we all appreciated that the movie really says that high school is not everything and showed that prom is not the most important night of your life, even though it did have the prom in it. That is a very different message than many of the other teen flicks give, and much better too.
