SUTTER CANE

This movie is really bad. But it´s bad in a good way. The acting is laughable and the main bad guy must be the silliest villain ever put on film. The story is very good an unpredictable, with some great plot twists...Yeah, right! The story sucks of course, but you don´t see this kind of movie because of it´s story.The martial arts are surprisingly good for a movie with a budget as low as this. All in all, this is a great movie to see with friends over a couple of six-packs.

Stunt-man Mic Rodgers directional debut is a very disappointing action movie. I´m a big fan of the first movie (and Van Damme), so I was really looking forward to his one. Imagine my disappointment when I discovered that it was one of the worst Van Damme-movie of all time. The first five minutes is easily the best part of the movie. Van Damme deliver the kicks, but the story really sucks (and so does the acting). But it´s still a rather enjoyable movie, if you like brainless action-movies. Everyone but Van Damme-fans should avoid this movie. I give it 5 out of 10

John Woo failed, so did Ringo Lam, but Tsui Hark did it. He made a movie in Hollywood, as good as his previous Hong Kong-movies. This is easily the best Van Damme movie to date. The story is actually pretty good(and funny), the acting is great and the action kicks ass. Very stylishly directed by Hark, this is an outstanding effort from the Van Damme/Hark-team(who also worked together on Double Team). I can´t understand why so many people is putting this movie down. I think it is a very enjoyable action movie, and for Van Damme-fans, this is a must-see. I give it 9 out of 10
