I figured the movie would be worth watching based on the cast. But I had some reservations about Ms. Davis because I've not enjoyed some of her other works. Well, was I ever surprised! Not only was the acting, including Ms. Davis', superb from EVERYONE, but so was the dialog and the story! Unpredictable, entertaining and hilarious at just the right moments.
This is what I love about The Arts. I watched the entire movie despite wanting to give up several times. Tough start. Confusing. What is with the time-jumping? Not a fan of brutal killing. But there was something that made me keep watching. A bit like a Tarantino movie but without the stellar cast. Do I fully understand the movie? No. Did I get the message? Debatable. Do I have complaints? A few. Would I watch it again? Probably not but maybe. Ask me later.
Give this a chance. The cast list is what got me to watch. I struggled with the opening but held on and it was worth it. I ended up enjoying all of the quirky and awkward bits.
