I enjoyed the movie, it was fine. Not bad, not great, fine. It felt fairly predictable, and the plot was a little unimaginative: a minor arc of redemption and a mcguffin.

The characters were fair, the acting fair, but it was carried by excellent seamless CGI, with nicely engineered surround sound which felt immersive. Overall a high quality production.

I'm sure that if you don't have a large high quality TV and halfway decent sound system it may not draw you in and you'll feel flat.

It's a shame that it only warrants six stars because for the budget and the production quality should have been better. Unfortunately this is a common complaint about many movies.

There's no objective science here, it's just a waste of time, and chances are if you follow the money they'll try and grift. This is much like flat-earth stuff. It's surprising that this so-called theory has survived since 1959.

Do yourself a favour and study high school science and take a course on critical thinking rather than watch this nonsense.

But don't take my word for it, search the the internet for "critique of the electric Universe Theory" and find many great demolitions of this.

"At worst it's sheer crackpottery like homeopathy and astrology, making claims clearly contradicted by the evidence."

And it fails as a theory, fails even junior high science teaching: it's not testable, and cannot be used to predict or explain things in depth.

I enjoyed the spectacle of both movies, but felt the storyline relied too much on common tropes, relying too much on VFX and sound to carry it.

Think the magnificent seven in space and you're halfway there.

If you don't have a fairly big TV and at least a basic surround sound system, it'd feel flat. I have a fairly decent set up with a moderately high end TV and 5.1 surround, which I only use early evening as the sound carries and I don't think want to annoy the neighbours. I started watching too late one evening with just the TV speakers and it didn't hold my attention, so I waited until I could watch with the full home cinema, and then i was rapt.
