Bewertung von Scorpion Man
I first saw this movie when it premiered on Channel 4 earlier this year, but in yet another spell of my world renound bad luck, I was unable to video it because I was taping 24 on BBC 2 at the same time. Since that day I made it my mission in life to find a copy of my very own, I searched for months upon months to find one, but didn't, until one day I found a copy when on holiday in Whitby on one on those double film videos they're always putting leathal weapon films on (the other movie on the cassette was Urban legends: The final cut, which I hate.)
Anyway, needless to say I love the film, its so much better than Scream (at least the murder scenes are well thought out) and the acting is great, especially by Rebecca Gayheart and Michael Rosenbaum.
The only thing I was annoyed about was the fact that the gore and detail of the murders (its a slasher film so this is important) was actually LESS detailed on VHS than on Channel 4. Most specificly the bit with the funnel and drain cleaner is supposed to be much longer, the dean's head was bashed through the spikes rather than slowly driven into them, the kidney removal bit was shortened and all the shots of dead bodies where only a second or two long. It seems the slashing happened more to the content and less to the cast. Despite this the movie was still good and well worth watching.
