Sadly, a very realistic portrayal of the times we live in now. For example, police hand out felonies like credit card companies hand out credit cards, these days. That is, because police must make sure their quotas are met, I am told. Of course, this brings money into the coffers of struggling municipalities. However, they forget to take into consideration the disastrous consequences of what doing so, actually does to the real life people that get them.

How do I know? Well, I was merely charged with a felony that immediately became a misdemeanor, and eventually the charges were dropped all together. No actual conviction. However, it's forever on my background check that I was charged with a felony, even though nothing ever became of it. Therefore, I always get the joy of trying to explain how that happened everytime I want to change jobs. As you can imagine, I don't want to change jobs very often, even though doing so might have a positive impact on my wallet and my life.

Therefore, this movie is really an exposé on this very malicious trend that our government has created to try and prop up failing budget deficits. Then the vicious cycle it creates for the people that must wear this "scarlet letter." Aubrey Plaza does an amazing job acting out this vicious scenario on humanity. As one who has went through this, I can palpably feel the tension, and the "must hustle for food" mentality that felonies create, and this movie exposes. Very well done. Now let's change it!!!

The best part of the movie is the eye candy, right? That is Timothy Granaderos. That alone made the movie watchable. He actually does a decent job doing double duty as both twins. The rest of the acting wasn't believable at all. The plot is completely predictable. From the begining of the movie, you know how it's going to end. It's very much a made for TV movie, however, it doesn't try to be anything more than that. Perhaps, I have been spoiled by Netflix. Aside from the cell phones and the tablet, the movie has a very 1990's vibe. The cars, the clothing, the decor. Nothing is modern. I got the feeling that this movie was very low budget. All in all, it's very middle of the road, made watchable by a good looking actor. But then again, why not just watch "13 Reasons Why," whereby you get to see a lot more of the goodies.
