Well, Affleck's career is pretty much dead on impact. Kevin Smith made him look like a million bucks but J-Lo has dragged him to the depths in this one. I spent $12 on 2 tickets for this with my brave friend and I attending. Walken and Pacino couldn't save it, the movie made zero sense, the dialogue was lame, and it was simply awkward. Hey Ben, if you're out there, you better hope Kevin Smith is looking to recast you as Shannon Hamilton should he decide on Mallrats 2. Hope and pray
Fun movie. Seemed a lot like a more upbeat, hip version of the previous films. The death scenes were the most violent and therefore the best of all the Halloween films in that aspect. Tommy Doyle was a cool character, a demented man haunted by Michael Myers. Sad to see this was Donald Plesance's last film, but I think that little scene at the end explains it all.
Nice job. A good way of getting over the ultraviolence.

I watched this film in August of 1999 on Comedy Central. They usually show really horrible movies in the morning, but this one stood out. It wasn't one of their cheesy movies from the 80's they show. It wasn't one that had no known faces. It featured the funny guy from Friends (Perry), a funny comic (Chappelle), a bombshell (Swanson), and the star of Ally McBeal (Flockheart). Not to mention Andrew McCarthy, who plays a great diabolical character. I have only seen this movie twice (I wish I could find a video store that had it, but sadly I can't.). The story flows smoothly and the murder scenes made me shiver, but they were awesome! Not bad for a movie based in 1993.
