Although she is credited in the cast-list, Marisa Mell did not, in fact, return to movie-acting for this film, having died in 1992. The character she plays - the deceased mother of André Schneider's character - is seen only in brief flashbacks as a very young woman, in what are actually extracts from some of her films, i. e. La encadenada (1975), Historia de una traición (1971) and Senza via d'uscita (1971).

When Farouk El-Khalili showed up on his day of shooting, it showed that he had not prepared for his role at all. As filming progressed, it additionally turned out - much to the producers' chagrin - that he didn't even speak proper English. Since the movie was shot on a very tight schedule, El-Khalili could not be replaced. In the end, his scene had to be re-dubbed entirely in the studio, costing the producers another thousand euros.
