Icononic Satyajit Ray was definitely a path-finder in this context. Ray's Feluda is a household name even today that allures viewers irrespective of age.

The latest version of Bengali Crime Thriller Web Series Ekenbabu released on January 24, 2025 under the Title Puro Puri Eken once again seems following the footprints of Satyajit Ray. But like the earlier Episodes, this version of the Ekenbabu Series has some distinctive characteristics. This is true that it has been narrated with a lighter note, but aspect of Serial Killer is a new one. Naturally, the detective thrillers made keeping in view the taste of School going children hardly includes deaths and bloodshed in terrible manner. In fact, this was the approach of Satyajit Ray. In case of family bondings, the Series refers to those points that make direct or indirect points to violence at certain points. Although, comic elements and hilarious incidents in Puri; one of the enchanting tourist spot and pilgrimage, but it never diviates from the central theme: subsequent deaths happening in a mysterious manner. This makes the Web Series more attractive.
