This series is again an another remake of a movie which already been remade in different languages. A 1958 movie Chase a crooked shadow then 1963 bengali movie Sesh Anka starrer Uttam Kumar, which was truly an outstanding gripping thriller and from that bengali movie we had 1964 tamil remake Puthiya Paravai and 1989 hindi remake Khoj.

The performances of the series is apt but it failed to provide that thrilling experience and the ending which was very much expected from the beginning. The writing should have been better as in the middle of the series it was like the same thing happening and we are waiting for the curtain call!!

For a one time watch to pass the time or if anyone who had not watched the earlier films can watch as other than that you will not get any new twist or turn in this.

Story was going goog, but at the end, that same climax we have seen already in many stories. We expect something different in today's OTT era. Every character involved in the conspiracy is much more predictable and more complex stories with complex climax are available and seen by the audience. However, the story keeps binding us until the last episode in the hope that something unpredictable would come out to watch. Series successfully entertains us and actors have done a good work. Series leaves some things unclarified like how they convince some characters to take part in the conspiracy, especially the child.

"Khoj: Parchaiyon Ke Uss Paar" starts strong with an intriguing premise: Ved (Sharib Hashmi) reports his wife Meera missing, only for a woman (Anupriya Goenka) to show up who claims to be her. While this setup is promising, the plot starts to drag as the episodes progress, with predictable twists and repetitive moments that take away from the suspense. Additionally the makers fail to land the ending resulting in a comedic revelation rather than the dramatic effect they were aiming for. Sharib Hashmi delivers a convincing performance, and Anupriya Goenka is solid too, but even their efforts can't save the show from feeling overstretched especially considering it's a remake of a movie that itself was under two hours.

The new web series attempts to reimagine a gripping narrative first presented in the 1957 classic Chase a Crooked Shadow and later adapted into the 1989 Hindi film Khoj, starring Rishi Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah. Unfortunately, the series falls flat, failing to capture the intrigue and brilliance of its predecessors.

While the core mystery remains intact, the web series drags through poorly written dialogues and lackluster direction. Where the original Khoj kept audiences on the edge of their seats, this remake suffers from inconsistent pacing and an over-reliance on clichés.

In trying to recreate a story already told twice with finesse, the new Khoj web series only serves as a reminder of what made the originals great. If you're looking for gripping suspense, you'd be better off revisiting the 1989 Khoj or the 1957 Chase a Crooked Shadow. This remake, sadly, is a waste of time.

Total waste of time . Unfortunately this thriller missed all important aspect of a good thriller story telling . From the very beginning it was too slow to build up the proper meaningful tension. The original plot is no doubt good but the remake version is pathetic .There was never a moment where I felt that edge of the seat feeling which a good thriller story usually have .

I would have given minus stars if I had the option too. From the very beginning couldn't capture our attention . If you have to serve us the same old story with a new name the least the director could have done is to make the story more interesting. The director should learn from Malayalam movie director how to direct thriller and have audience glued to screen.

Series fit for not very smart people with less intelligence.

Poor story line with very weak character.

The main character of the series is shown as a successful lawyer who does not know anything about law and is jst a stupid man.

The lady playing the character of the wife is played by an amateur actor who does b grade movies and series and should not be allowed to do any acting at all.

The child is shown with an age of 8-10 years who is pranking the father and supporting the police which is not realistic at all as a child of this less age will not be able to act and portray the character in such a way.

This is a pathetic recreation of age old movie with a predicate and boring ending.

Most Horrible, Illogical Series till date

This series is a complete letdown. The plot is painfully slow and riddled with illogical twists. The most absurd moment? The police plant fake photos on someone's phone without accessing it-a feat only a Russian hacker might pull off in fiction! Additionally, they manipulate an 8-10-year-old child into believing someone else is her mother-completely unbelievable and poorly executed. To make matters worse, the acting from several cast members is lackluster, with wooden performances that fail to evoke any emotion. If you're planning to use your brain while watching, skip this one.

It was a reasonable good mini series. Throughout the series it seems boring but the ending was great. Simply can't predict that ending . Would have gave it 10 but in between sometimes very boring. Just have to push through the episodes , So that why 8. The best part about it was that the episodes were very short and the story was not stretched just for the sake of it. It was boring as to what was going and how it is possible amd what is really the truth but in the end everything was explained properly. It is a light drama story and can be seen with family. Drama and fun in the tv series is not there. Its just simply the story.

Anwar Says: Do you remember 1989 Rishi Kapoor starrer KHOJ , almost similar theme with expected end. The lead Sharib Hashmi is tense throughout but Anupriya Goenka is cool all over. Even if the 7 episodes are 24/25 minutes long but still they are laborious to finish.

Initial two episodes sparked with something fresh but nothing new is conveyed till sixth episode. There were plenty of scope to bring new plots but director Baruah kept repeating with the top three characters. I liked the character of Inspector played by Aamir Dalvi , a real composed police wallah, always eager to listen to others.

Could be more gripping and where the director lacked. Two top actors of OTT could've been better exploited. Choice is yours whether to watch it or not after reading my review.

Recently seen web series... storyline is similar to classic old movie even name is same....old version is very grippy and cult...new version has failed to deliver thriller...even few changes made according to technology but it has lost its soul... starting episodes are fine but climax is very poor...you don't feel any curiosity or tense situation... direction is also sloppy not provide enough twist to drag you till the end.. storyline has enough potential to hold you but executions are disappointing.. watch only if you not seen old movie...or for timepass only.. actors are decent and loction are soothing..that's only postive...it's failed attempt for thriller.
