Phenomenal storyline and top notch acting. The story is brought to life by talented actors and great direction - a must watch for the whole family! Wildman offers excitement, laughter, and a great "moral of the story"! The musical score is great as well. It's refreshing to have a movie that everyone can enjoy together, which seems fewer and far between these days! The script was perfectly written and executed in the same way!

I can't say enough about Scott (Hudson) and Hailey (Ayla) - what a great breakout role for them both! They appear as if they are seasoned actors and I can't wait to see them in other films.

The storyline flowed smoothly and kept the whole family fully engaged from start to finish. The acting was terrific, especially from the predominantly young cast, who brought surprising depth to their roles. We just attended the premiere and were so impressed with this film! It was the perfect amount of suspense but not too scary for my kiddos. I loved the variety of dynamics between characters they were able to portray. They showed so many different relationships and the struggles and joys of each. They showed friendships both new and old, bullying, sibling feuding, parenting doubts and struggles, and internal questioning and self reflection. The movie wasn't overly predictable and very engaging. Our whole family enjoyed the film, both suspenseful and tugs at your heart strings. I highly recommend and will be rewatching frequently!

"The Wildman of Shaggy Creek" is the best children's fantasy movie I've seen in a long time. From the incredible directing, cinematography, and scoring, to the talented cast of kids, young adults, and industry professionals, this movie is bound to keep you engaged and entertained. The standout performances from the all kids are a major highlight. They move the story of the film from start to finish and keep the audience hanging on their every word with suspense, emotion, and humor. The entire cast displays great chemistry that is captured through the screen. The film is not only great for children but also adults as parents Charlotte (Allee Sutton-Hethcoat) and Charlie (Josh Futcher) showcase their incredible chemistry and acting abilities as they capture all the ups and downs of parenting young teens with exceptional emotion displayed by both in tense scenes as well as perfect comedic timing that create light-hearted scenes. The film is fast paced and never gets boring as characters like Scott (Hudson Hensley), Hailey (Ayla Bullington), Zach (Brycen Patterson), and others entrance the audience in a world of suspense, intrigue, fear, and comedy. The climax of the film is the best shot, acted, and written scene in any children's movie I've seen. The scene keeps the audience looming in fear and suspense, but without being too scary for the younger ones. The film is excellently crafted from start to finish and definitely a must watch for anyone looking for a heartwarming, scary, and entertaining film fun for the whole family!

From the acting to the editing to the set, the mics, the cameras, and lighting everything is so professional. Has a great story and message about family and bravery. Family friendly and enjoyable for all ages! The music keeps the audience on there feet and anticipating what's going to happen next. Such an entertaining and enjoyable movie, amazing amazing AMAZING! The writing and lines made my family and I laugh too! I left the theatre wanting more. The casting could not be more perfect and the acting from these young actors and the adult actors was just sooo good! Please make a sequel! This was such a good watch!

I got to see this at the Franklin, TN premier. Here is the email I sent to Jesse after watching it:

"First of all great job on the movie. You have a ton of talent all around-smartly written, great cinematography, editing, sound design. The kids did a great job too!"

As a fellow filmmaker I tried to find editing or continuity errors and it was difficult to find anything noticeable. The only criticism is in a very technical scene but it ultimately worked to not scare young viewers too much.

Overall great work and would recommend to anyone who likes family-friendly films that aren't cheesy or dumb down the audience.

I got to see a preview of this movie last week and LOVED it. The acting was incredible, the storyline, based on the book by R. H. Grimley, was suspenseful but very family friendly. There were some jump scares, but nothing too intense. The cinematography was vivid and realistic. Think Goosebumps, but a little less scary . It kept me guessing until the end.

This was all of the child actors first time on the big screen and you could not tell. Ayla Bullington as Hailey, was a standout to me, she is going to be a star!

Jesse Edwards is an upcoming producer that everyone should keep their eyes on.

Can't wait to see what comes next for this talented cast and crew!

This is a wonderful movie that teaches the values of friendship, family, and kindness. "The Wildman of Shaggy Creek" features two characters named Scott and Hailey who are best friends and resist the teasing of the bullies in their neighborhood. This displays multiple principles of friendship and how to be assertive and stand up for yourself and others. This movie keeps you on your toes as you never know what will come next. This movie will keep you entertained for the entirety of the playtime; moreover, the plot is so unique and unlike anything I've seen before. I believe this would be an amazing movie to snuggle up to with your family. Watching it with your family would provide so many key values. As you watch the movie; you get an inside scoop of the mother and the son's point of view of life. I think this is very important for families to realize that life is better when you're together. It also teaches lesson about kindness and not judging others by how they look. Overall, I absolutely LOVED this movie. Such a thriller!!

My 8 year old absolutely loved it and so did I! It's really fun for the whole family, sweet and pretty funny too. There's some heart felt moments between the Mom played Allee-Sutton Hethcoat (who was also in the directors other film, The Stolen Valley and she crushed it in that movie too) and her son, Scott that I thought were done so well. The other ensemble of kids in the movie were hilarious together and are so talented. I was afraid at first it might be too scary for my son, but that wasn't the case at all. It kept you on the edge of your seat at parts, but never went into scary territory. Highly recommend this indie gem, don't sleep on The Wildman!

Wow guys this movie already had my expectations up, but by the time it came to the end credits I was completely blown away by this production! The message of family, the suspense, the background music and side effects, and the great use of comedic timing was absolutely incredible! The character development definitely drew me into the story- and I was on the edge of my seat! I have to say- the character that truly entertained me was Zach! He played off of all of his ensemble so perfectly, and even though he was a "villain" - he came around and had the most character development and I just had so many reactions off of his line delivery and physical choices !!! But again everyone was so incredible and I could go on about the everyone that took part in this movie!! This is some of the best chemistry I've seen in a cast and they really brought the story to life! I 100% recommend!!! The Wildman of Shaggy Creek is definitely in my top 10!!

The Wildman of Shaggy Creek is one of the best family films I've seen! There is something for everyone. A heartwarming family dynamic of navigating balance between a parent's career and a child's coming of age with challenges of living in a new location and making new friends.

The cast were all amazing! From the bravery of a young boy, Scott, played by Hudson Hensley, and a kind and quick witted young girl, Hayley, played by Ayla Bullington, to the humerous bully, Zach, played by Brycen Patterson, with his mischievous ways, taunting, and his comedic performance that illustrates his fear of losing his alpha status by a new kid on the block!

This movie is full of laughter, love, a few jump scares and just enough fear to create suspense without being too frightening!

I would give this movie a 10 out of 10 and recommend it for the whole family to see of all ages!!

This movie is incredible!! The casting was absolutely perfect and the cinematography and scoring complete the film! The movie builds on relationships as the cast displays natural chemistry! My favorite relationship dynamic is Zach (Brycen Patterson) and Scott (Hudson Hensley) who move the story with their tension as both boys perfectly embody the bully vs new kid relationship as Zach becomes the driving force of the movie who pushes Scott into entering the woods. Both boys earned awards for their performances and I see why! I have never been on the edge of my seat with any kids film like I was with this one! The movie provides an incredible balance of entertainment for both children and adults. The film has a satisfying ending that makes you want to watch all over again! I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone looking for a good family friendly film! Especially for Halloween!!!

The director and actors out did themselves to bring the audience all the ingredients for a suspenseful, funny, heartwarming movie. With edge of your seat suspence, perfectly timed humor, and a story line that is relatable to most everyone, this film is bound to become a family favorite for years to come! All the cast was amazing, but there are several young breakout actors that truly gave it life! Don't miss this chance to have a fun family night out!!!

This movie was great from start to finish. It's the perfect amount of suspense and comedy for everyone in the family. Everything in this movie from the cast, editing, storyline, etc was perfection. My daughter, her friends, and I attended the premiere and they were captivated from start to finish. They have already asked when they can watch it again! I loved that the movie had suspense, but the entire family could watch together. Congratulations to everyone who worked on the film! It is a well made movie that everyone is going to love to watch over and over again! Can't wait to watch it again!

I loved watching this with my daughter! It's appropriate for younger kids with a scary element. It never gets too scary or graphic (for parents concerned about that). The focus is on the kids neighborhood relationships, acceptance, friendship, and family bonds. Also this is a fantastic breakout film for all the young actors in it. I can't wait to see them launch their careers from this film!

Take a little bit of Goosebumps, a dash of 80s monster movie, and a sprinkle of Bridge to Terribithia and BAM you have The Wildman of Shaggy Creek! It's a fun, wholesome story the whole family can enjoy!

There is a lot of great talent and fresh faces in this movie that are all sure to go far! The script is witty, and the screenplay is well paced to keep the attention of young and old. Not to mention the visual effects are very impressive for a smaller film. Every scene looks and sounds great!

This movie made me feel like a kid again in the best way possible and I will absolutely watch it again!

We attended the Premiere of this movie in Franklin TN and to say we were impressed is an understatement! This movie was excellent, perfectly casted, these younger actors did an excellent job, for a lot of them it was their first film and you'd never know it! Of course the adults did amazing as well, and the director knew how to bring his vision to life. This perfectly balanced storyline is for the young and old, I promise you won't be disappointed!! It's hard to find a movie in this category that can be watched with the littles, so I do love that it's a "scary thriller movie" that's family friendly! I say it's a must see!!

Well this was certainty one of the best movies I've seen this year when it comes to meeting all the criteria's, the lighting design, the setting, pacing, characterization, dialogue, etc. It has it all and it's all fantastic. This film had my heart racing wondering what was going to happen next and had a great themes in there as well. Jesse Edward's does a great job giving a clear picture of the story and delivering the message for the theme through characters. The ending was unique because I didn't expect it and he also does a great job at building suspense but keeping it kid friendly which is what I believe he wanted. Based off of this film I can tell that Jesse has tons of potential to do even greater things in the industry and once he develops his style more he will become such a great big director. I can't wait to see what he does next!
