Three friends Wah, Fei and Kwok are loyal to their boss Fa Kam. Being part kf the crime family, Fa Kam is quite respected and is considered to be the next leader. Kwan is Fa Kam's rival, who also eyes for the leader position and stands for everything the crime family is against. A robbery occurs and money stole belongs to crime family. Fei needs money for his sister's major surgery whereas Kwok is deep in debt due to his gambling habits. Some bad decisions are made and this puts the trios lives at stake while Kwok uses it to his advantage. Will the brotherhood triumph this time, forms rest of the story.
I am amazed that how the same set of friends turn out messy in this trilogy while each of the films remained unrelated to each other. The spiritual sequels stick to this template and visually, each of them try to improve from the previous one. The third entry was not as exciting as the 2nd film, mainly because we didn't get to see the bonding of these three friends to know how far they can go while the boss character got established well. The screenplay was quite predictable and it didn't have the needed drama to pull this story. It reaches the inevitable end in sync with the other 2 films, what does work is the limited action scenes here. The one toned villain doesn't appear as threatening as expected and that also impacts the final act. Overall, it needed better screenplay to do justice to those action scenes.
