Literally nothing happens in this movie.
For hours, and it feels like days or years go past - nope still same scene.
Shame really as the cast were doing their best, with a storyline that simply didn't have a plot.
Haunted house that isnt haunted? Check Characters that you feel no affection for? Check Weird neighbour that isnt a neighbour? Check Anything that happens during the movie resembling a plot? No.... lets not bother.
The annoying synth music every ten minutes didn't cause any atmosphere, it simply became annoying very quickly and didn't go away.
Go watch people under the stairs or something, unless you want something on in the background while doing the ironing.
With the pace of this movie it will be heading straight to VHS, its that far behind the times!

What does Jay the husband do for a living? How can they up and move into a fully furnished house and not have to go shopping for clothing, food, etc. Upon arrival?? How could Ava the wife not have to sign the deed for the new house? How could Jay the husband buy a house without his wife suspecting anything amiss when money vanishes from their banking account? What is he alluding to when he says she's had a tough year? Why do we have to guess? When is a movie soundtrack not a movie soundtrack? Why does Ava not comprehend the term squatters?? Why no visuals of a moving vehicle or a law enforcement cruiser?? Why was this movie made? Lots of questions but on second thought .... YAWN ....
Please don't waste your time, money or energy. Go watch paint dry. Move along people. Nothing scary, thrilling, horrifying or supernatural here.

This is a snooze fest. Literally NOTHING happens, you keep waiting on the action/any semblance of a plot to actually begin, but it never does.
I'm presuming the "based on a true story" is when a woman once called the police because she heard a weird noise in her attic. Yep, that's about the sum of this piece of nonsense.
The annoying music all the way through doesn't help, and the acting is drama school bad. The whiny voice of the female lead character made me want to murder her myself.
ZERO plot, zero characterisation, zero scares, zero story.
Do yourself a favour and skip this bore fest.

This is an enjoyable, if low-budget, thriller. It should be watched by every aspiring filmmaker, because it demonstrates how to create interesting characters, tension, and how to direct scenes for maximum effect, using music appropriately, to create a tense, thrilling narrative--on a very low budget. The story is about a man who buys a house as a surprise for him and his wife, after he lands a job transfer to Florida. The couple have had some past trauma, and so the entire "going to a new house to start over" plot is fairly standard. However, weird things start happening in the house, esp. To the wife, who's there all day as the husband is out working. The pacing and climax are pretty perfect. Due to the "essentials only" direction, along with decent dialog and credible scenes, the movie winds up being quite an original story. There were a few minor quibbles that reveal the low budget (such as not showing the movers, the truck, or the cop car), but they were very minor. The acting by the two protagonists was quite good and credible, as was the nice neighbor lady. The music was a bit too intrusive about two times, but that's it. Pleasantly surprised by this low-budget indie thriller!
If this was based on a true story, someone's life must've been awfully boring. I often walk around my house too but I don't have suspenseful music playing for no reason at all. I don't think a ring doorbell sounds like a traditional doorbell yet that's what they have on their house. And who in the hell buys a house without their spouse seeing it first? And apparently she's not on the deed to the house if she didn't know anything about it. The story writing was so boring, and the acting was like their first acting lesson.

Moving into a new house, a woman and her husband try to acclimate to the move after being surprised with the opportunity to own it and start making it into their home, but when she believes strange incidents around the house are making her crazy tries to figure out what's going on.
Overall, this was a fairly cheap and formulaic indie effort. The simplistic setup involving the couple's arrival at the house and trying to get acclimated to what's going on in their new property and the strange noises it makes provides a decent enough starting point to what's going on. The strange visions and flashes of someone walking by in the distance, objects moving by themselves, or the inability to determine the source of scratching noises heard throughout the house help to create the kind of atmosphere where the hint of the supernatural is unraveled rather nicely with a solid enough baseline to allow for the possibility that she's potentially going crazy just as much as there is a supernatural presence in the house. This indeterminate nature of what's going on in the house allows for a familiar if still somewhat enjoyable storyline to propel this along while also highlighting the big issue here in just how bland and dull this one is. The reliance on the same general style of setpieces intended to be scary, whether it's the strange noises within the house or the disappearing objects left around, it just grows tiresome taking up the running time without much deviation due to the whole experience equating to her finding something odd he brushes off and telling her to not worry about it until the next instance. This isn't interesting or scary and just continually produces boredom and disinterest in what's going on without any stakes or purpose in what's going on, especially once the culprit is known which adds an explanation for things but little else. Combined with a lack of scares or gore to liven things up, and it remains quite bland at times.
Rated Unrated/PG-13: Language and Violence.

I should've read the reviews first. I also should've changed the channel. I'm mad at myself for watching this. The acting is horrid. I mean, really really really bad! Everything moves in slow motion. It is NOT even loosely based on a true story. That was a marketing ploy. The couple go from happy to fighting over night after moving into a new house. The kitchen is completely bare except a ninja where the wife is seen making a smoothie. Not sure when she had time to go to the grocery store. Maybe in her sleep? The wife suffers from depression and the husband is a total jerk about it. He's a jerk period. He even blames a previous miscarriage on her depression. As a former social worker who also suffers from depression, the way this played out was completely disgusting and irresponsible. Not sure how this movie even got made. It's really THAT bad!!

Was Natalie Brienen's legs. As for everything else, it fell for me into that category of movie that could have been watched with or without volume and would have had the same impact either way. I have to admit I was resentful over how easy those two moved into a new home; every time I have moved it has been a nightmare.

The acting, bad. The actresses make up, terrible. She looks old. And come on, squatters in an attic in Florida 🤣. Not to mention. Hardly any story line. The best part was the maggot in her mouth. There's a slight attempt at creepiness with shadows running quickly across the screen. So very creepy 🙄🙄. Don't waste your time on this one.

Horror-just my style. True story-even better. I kept waiting for a good part, but there were none, zero, zilch, nada. This was an awful movie, a waste of money and time. The acting was mediocre at best. I made up things that I thought might happen that were better than what was on screen. I'd rather money on this movie go towards something that's good, like school supplies for children that can't afford it or pet shelters.
