Vlad Thought (Gându) is a young artist from Iasi, who works on cruise ships. Having just returned home, he witnesses a hit and run, but is considered the perpetrator and ends up in prison. The welcoming from the other inmates is not exactly pleasant. A man of faith and with a sensitive nature, he is forced to adapt to the realities of prison life. Felix, the leader in the prison cell, is a young man convicted for murder. His right hand man is Moldoveanu, an old recidivist who is a little unhinged. Standing out among his cellmates are: Hat - a resourceful recidivist, Mace - a bully, and also Root, the prison veteran, who now follows the path of faith. Thought (Gându) befriends Johnny, AKA The American, a Romanian mercenary serving a sentence for assault. The two eventually solve the mystery of the accident that got Thought (Gându) behind bars and in which Elena, a beautiful and mysterious doctor, is involved. Prison Commissioner Vicol, also learns about the case. Everything seems sorted, yet more questions still arise. Will Vicol help Thought (Gându)? Why would he? Who was the victim? Who are the others and why are they involved?
