Locate International, headed up by ex Detective Dave Grimstead takes look into three cold cases, cases that have remained unsolved and untouched for decades.
Can modern techniques, new forensics and a fresh approach lead to answers, giving families and loved ones much needed answers?
It's quite an engrossing series, it's exactly what you'd expect from Channel Four, it's factual, quite sober, and lacks some of the heavy polish that you see with some documentaries.
Each case has something to offer, some produce definitive answers, some don't.
Well presented, Dave does not try to be funny or clever, he's factual and procedural, one thing that's clear, he wants to find the truth.
One thing I find so sad, how on Earth can someone be missing for so long, and not missed, it goes against every single fibre of human nature.
It's a shame there's only three in the series, the format works well, and I'm sure there are a number of intriguing cold cases that remain unsolved.
8/10.

A great series, hopefully there will be more episodes. Actually fascinating without unnecessary drama you see in the American type of these shows,. Real life mysteries where a body is discovered and remains unidentified. Professionally put together and drawing on a vast array of specialist resources, it's amazing what they can find out decades after the body is found. One of the best aspects is that it is not solely reliant on DNA evidence, because often there is nothing to match it to, they also use facial reconstruction, clothing analysis, oceanographic data, handwriting analysis and also look at social data from the area and time the body was found. Very engrossing.
