This film shines the light on what can happen when privilege and drug use generate bad judgements and bad decisions on a night out in Melbourne.
It's a story that is expertly told and needs to be told, executed to perfection by the cast and crew.
The pace starts modestly to introduce you to the characters and then takes you on a wild ride that has you engrossed in the story from beginning to end including some lighter comedic moments to break the tension just when it is needed most.
The writer, who is also the director, a co-producer and appears in the film, performs all these roles with incredible maturity and professionalism for a debut film.
I would highly recommend this film. Given it's Audience Choice Award at the Fantastic Film Festival, it also has the potential to become a cult film with huge following if given the distribution and opportunity it deserves.

The film Pure Scum, is an incredible Australian film in which perfectly incapsulates the concept of "what if" in regards to two people who have nothing to lose. The perfect blend of thriller elements with a grounded and somewhat personal environment and motive throughout the entire film.
This masterclass of Australian film highlights the raw and unique storyline of two people who are struggling to accept the decisions and mistakes they make, and in turn their change and development over the series of truly gruesome and guttural events.
Genuinely and incredible and intense film that could not be recommended to more people.
