Suffocating Love

Honestly this movie was a rollercoaster. But it left me with a feeling I can't really describe.

In the first half of the movie nothing really happens. He meets his girlfriend. They date. And the girlfriend sets a hole lot of rules for him. You see him in a cirkel of habits in a relationship and at a point you think this is going to be a boring movie. And you feel the male character his personality is smothered. Unsurprisingly he cheats.

Yet the second half was absolutely bonkers/nuts. Actually you have no idea what is going on. You think he is in a parallel universe. But is he?

You do get some questions answered. I find that this movie was original in the plottwist.

Many people would hate the ending of this movie.

I agree with this in first instance. But when I think about it. I understand the ending.

It is a cautionary tale that you learn to appreciate your partner in a relationship. Everybody has his flaws. And you don't always get what you want. It seems that the male lead got what he wished for.

When he really wanted. His girlfriend would have done everything for him. Even change herself. You see it in the second half of the movie.

You can't always go back in your decisions. He made a choice a must now lay in it. This is I think what they try to get across.

The acting was pretty solide. But the movie do leaves you feeling unfulfilled. 7/10.

This movie did a great job with its technique, especially considering the fact that the whole movie was shot using an iPhone. But what happened to the plot? It fails to clarify the movie's direction through the transitions between each part. Some characters are poorly explained and suddenly disappear. The fantasy element seems to be added just to smooth out the plot, but honestly, I have no idea what they were trying to achieve with it.

The first part of the movie was still enjoyable and made me curious about how the main character would find a resolution. However, as the second part of the movie unfolded, I began to worry that it wouldn't deliver a coherent plot. And as it turns out, my concerns were confirmed in the subsequent parts all the way to the end of the film.
